Taylor Momsen is giving a whole new meaning to the “dark side” of rock and roll.

The Pretty Reckless vocalist and former Gossip Girl star revealed to fans on Tuesday that she was hospitalized following a frightening encounter with a “poisonous” spider while on tour with legendary rock band AC/DC.

Taking to Instagram to document the ordeal, the -year-old singer shared a close-up photo of her leg where the bite occurred, making it clear that the injury was serious enough to require professional medical intervention.

“Hospital today, show tomorrow, poisonous spiders are NO BUENO,” she captioned the post, adding a pair of spider emojis. Despite the pain, she maintained her signature grit, telling her followers, “but the show must go on, see you tomorrow Mexico City.”

Momsen didn’t stop there, later sharing a selfie from her hospital bed where she appeared to be wearing a mask. She also posted a video of herself being rolled through the hospital corridors by staff.

“Or I just spend the night in the hospital… thank you to the amazing doctors who, well, they know,” she wrote, keeping the specific details of her treatment under wraps.

While the “Heaven Knows” singer didn’t specify exactly what kind of eight-legged critter attacked her, the medical scare hasn’t slowed down her creative momentum. On Wednesday, just a day after the hospital drama, Momsen and her band announced their latest track, “Love Me,” which is set to drop this Friday.

Fans are already flooding her comments with support, with many calling her the “toughest woman in rock.” On X (formerly Twitter), the hashtag BatGirl began trending again as fans recalled that this isn’t Momsen’s first bizarre animal encounter.

In fact, the spider bite occurred almost exactly two years after Momsen went viral for a truly unbelievable onstage moment: being bitten by a bat.

That incident, which also took place while touring with AC/DC in Seville, Spain, saw a bat fly onto her leg and cling to her during a performance of “Witches Burn.”

“In the moment I was performing and had no idea until the incredible crowd kept screaming and pointing,” Momsen shared at the time. “He was cute, but yes he bit me… so rabies shots for the next two weeks.”

Hospital staff in Spain reportedly dubbed her “Bat Girl” after the footage hit the local news, a nickname that has stuck with her through her latest “Spider Girl” era.

Momsen has been busy reinventing herself as a rock powerhouse since leaving her role as Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl years ago. The Pretty Reckless is currently preparing for the release of their fifth studio album, Dear God, which is slated for a June release.

The band is scheduled to remain on the road for the rest of the year, and if Momsen’s latest update is any indication, it’s going to take a lot more than a poisonous spider to keep her off the stage.

Stay safe out there, Taylor! Mexico City, get ready—the “Bat Girl” is back.
