Influencer Clavicular Vows to Quit ‘IRL’ Streaming After Terrifying On-Camera Overdose: ‘It’s Done For’

The “looksmaxxing” community is reeling after one of its most controversial figures faced a near-fatal wake-up call.

Clavicular, the viral streamer known for his extreme devotion to physical aesthetics, is speaking out after being hospitalized Tuesday night for a suspected overdose. The incident, which unfolded during a live broadcast, has left the influencer questioning his entire future online.

Braden Peters, the man behind the Clavicular persona, returned to the streaming platform Kick on Wednesday morning—just hours after being released from the hospital—to deliver some sobering news to his followers.

“I ain’t going to be doing any more substances for a little while, hopefully forever,” he told his audience during the candid stream. But for Peters, sobriety comes with a major catch for his career.

“That means I can’t IRL stream anymore,” he admitted. “I really can’t IRL stream ’cause as you guys know I’m quite rude without that s—.”

The -year-old influencer was in the middle of an “In Real Life” (IRL) stream at a mall and restaurant in Miami on Tuesday night when the situation took a dark turn. After the feed abruptly cut out, harrowing footage began circulating on X (formerly Twitter) showing Peters being carried by several people toward a waiting ambulance.

Sources confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he was in “stable condition” upon arrival at the hospital, but the gravity of the moment wasn’t lost on the streamer.

Taking to X after his release, Peters described the experience as “brutal.” He also offered a rare, vulnerable glimpse into the pressure of his online brand, which focuses on the “looksmaxxing” trend—a subculture where young men obsess over maximizing their physical attractiveness.

“All of the substances are just a cope trying to feel neurotypical while being in public, but obviously that isn’t a real solution,” he wrote. Even in his recovery, he couldn’t help but reference his brand, adding, “The worst part of tonight was my face descending from the life support mask.”

The “descending” comment refers to his obsession with facial structure, a hallmark of the “looksmaxxing” movement. Clavicular has previously made headlines for advocating extreme practices, including “bone-smashing”—the dangerous act of using a hammer to alter facial bones—to achieve a more “masculine” look.

The health scare is just the latest in a string of controversies for Peters. Only days ago, he walked out of an interview with Minutes Australia after correspondent Adam Hegarty questioned him about his ties to Andrew Tate and the incel community.

Peters has also faced legal heat recently. He is currently under investigation by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission after a video surfaced appearing to show him shooting an alligator.

Additionally, he was arrested in Florida last month on misdemeanor battery charges. Authorities alleged he provoked a fight between two women and exploited the altercation by posting it online for views.

Now, as he faces a long road to recovery, the influencer says he is at a crossroads regarding his content.

“I think I have to figure something else out,” he told his fans. “I have to figure out a new method. Either practice mogging sober or just find a new form of content. I don’t know. It’s f—ing done for.”
