Grab your remote and clear your DVR, because CBS is giving its primetime schedule a major facelift for the – season.

The network sent shockwaves through social media on Wednesday after announcing that two of its biggest Thursday night heavyweights, Ghosts and the Kathy Bates-led Matlock, are officially moving to midseason. While the news had fans on X (formerly Twitter) briefly spiraling, there is plenty of good news to balance out the wait.

CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach was quick to reassure the “Woodstone Mansion” faithful that despite the later start date, Ghosts will still receive a full -episode order.

Even better? The network is gifting fans hour-long Halloween and Christmas specials to tide them over before the season officially kicks off. Talk about a holiday treat!

So, what is taking over those coveted Thursday slots this fall? CBS is leaning into supernatural laughs and high-stakes tech drama.

Taking over the : p.m. spot is Eternally Yours, a new comedy about a family of vampires from the brilliant minds behind Ghosts, Joe Port and Joe Wiseman. It will follow the fan-favorite Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, making Thursday a must-watch for comedy lovers.

Meanwhile, at p.m., Mike Colter is heading to Silicon Valley in Cupertino. This new legal drama comes from powerhouse creators Robert and Michelle King and follows an attorney taking on the “Goliaths” of the tech industry. It’s the perfect pairing to air right after the Kings’ other hit, Elsbeth.

The biggest buzz on TikTok, however, is reserved for the return of a franchise legend. LL Cool J is officially back in action for NCIS: New York!

The new series will anchor Tuesday nights following the flagship NCIS, proving that the franchise’s grip on the Big Apple is just as strong as ever. To round out the “NCIS Tuesdays,” NCIS: Origins will air in the fall, with NCIS: Sydney taking over the p.m. slot at midseason.

Of course, with new beginnings come some bittersweet endings. CBS is officially dropping its Monday comedy block.

With The Neighborhood concluding its successful run and the freshman series DMV unfortunately canceled, Mondays will now be an all-drama affair. FBI will move to p.m., followed by the new series CIA and the unscripted thriller Harlan Coben’s Final Twist.

And for the fans who have been asking “Where is Matthew Gray Gubler?”—we finally have an answer.

The Criminal Minds alum is set to star in Einstein, a comedic crime procedural debuting at midseason. Gubler plays the brilliant (and slightly chaotic) great-grandson of Albert Einstein, who avoids jail time by consulting on cases with a detective played by Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Melissa Fumero.

While Wednesdays and Fridays will remain steady, and Sunday staples like Minutes, Marshals, and Tracker aren’t going anywhere, the – season is clearly ushering in a new era for the network.

Whether you’re ready for vampire roommates, tech-industry takedowns, or the return of Sam Hanna to the streets of New York, one thing is for sure: CBS is making sure you won’t want to leave your couch.
