Tyrese Haliburton is proving that his vision extends far beyond the perimeter. The Indiana Pacers star point guard, who captured the hearts of fans during last year’s explosive NBA Playoffs run, is officially headed to Hollywood. But don’t worry, Pacers fans-it’s not for a trade to the Lakers.
The two-time All-Star and Olympic gold medalist is launching his very own production company, Zero Doubt Creative. In a massive multiyear development deal with Brent Montgomery’s Wheelhouse, Haliburton is set to become a major player in the content game. The partnership will see Zero Doubt Creative and Wheelhouse Sports collaborate on original entertainment and branded content that will be pitched to major outlets, as well as live on Haliburton’s YouTube and social media channels.
A New Chapter for the All-Star
Haliburton isn’t just looking for a hobby; he’s looking to connect. “I’ve always been inspired by the power of content,” the NBA star shared in a statement. “Especially the ability to create ideas, moments and experiences that can connect people through storytelling.”
As his profile has grown, Haliburton says he felt a pull toward sharing his journey in an authentic way. “As I’ve gotten older and experienced pivotal moments in my life, I wanted to find the right way to tell those stories. Launching Zero Doubt is the start.” He added that his goal is to build a platform that grows alongside his career, focused on “honest compelling stories” and a community of “like-minded individuals who lead with authenticity.”
Fans React to ‘Time Out’
The internet is already buzzing about the company’s first major project: a documentary series titled “Time Out.” The series promises an unflinching look at Haliburton’s difficult journey back to the hardwood after a devastating injury.
Social media users were quick to weigh in on the news, with many praising the star for his transparency. On X (formerly Twitter), fans expressed both heartbreak over the footage they expect to see and excitement for the behind-the-scenes access.
“Seeing Tyrese go through that Game injury was brutal, but I’m so ready to see the comeback story,” one fan tweeted. Another added on Instagram, “This is how you build a brand. Tyrese is smart for setting this up now!”
A Grueling Road to Recovery
The docuseries, produced alongside the Wheelhouse-backed studio Portal A, focuses on the aftermath of Haliburton rupturing his right Achilles tendon in Game of last year’s NBA Finals. It was a heartbreaking moment for Indiana, as the Pacers ultimately fell to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the champion Oklahoma City Thunder without their floor general.
However, “Time Out” won’t just cover the basketball side of things. Reports indicate the series will also touch on a more personal battle: Haliburton’s recovery was further complicated by a bout with shingles-in his face. While fans are calling the situation “horrible” and “terrifying,” many agree that seeing an elite athlete navigate such a unique and painful setback will make for incredibly compelling television.
The Team Behind the Magic
The deal was brokered by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and features a heavy-hitting team of executive producers. Stan Kaufman and Chad Millman will lead the charge for Wheelhouse, while Kristina Kozica and Zachery Remy head up the team for Zero Doubt. Nate Houghteling of Portal A is set to direct.
Wheelhouse founder Brent Montgomery is already singing Haliburton’s praises. “Ty brings the same passion to creating and storytelling that he brings to the court,” Montgomery said. “Wheelhouse looks forward to expanding those ambitions with him.”
While a premiere date for “Time Out” hasn’t been set, one thing is certain: Tyrese Haliburton is making sure that whether he’s on the court or behind the scenes, the world is watching.
