Fans won't see Machine Gun Kelly in the 2025 American Music Awards audience tonight.
The rapper stopped by the 2025 AMAs red carpet to pose for a few photos before leaving ahead of the Las Vegas-based awards show. His appearance was brief because he had to head home to take care of his 2-month-old daughter, whom he shares with Megan Fox.
MGK, 35, gave E! News an update on the baby girl, telling the publication, "she's great."
"She has a little bit of a fever, so I'm gonna just walk the carpet and go back, you know what I mean, and handle my business," he explained. "Give her my pheromones, and let her heal up."
The artist added, "I was born to be a dad. Yeah, it's my purpose." He is also father to 15-year-old daughter Casie with ex Emma Cannon.
MGK was slated to present one of the awards during this year's AMAs at the luxury resort Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
MGK and Fox, 39, welcomed their daughter in March. "She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed 🥹💓♈️♓️♊️," he captioned the Instagram announcing her arrival on March 27, which featured a black and white video holding the baby's fingers and stroking them.
A source told PEOPLE about where the former couple, who got engaged in January 2022 before calling it quits in November 2024, stand after their baby arrived. "Megan and MGK are really loving this time right now with their baby girl," a source told PEOPLE in April.
"They're not making any big decisions about their future together as a couple because they just want to focus on the present and this new chapter as parents to their daughter together," they said.
The source added: "They are getting along really well and they have no idea what the future holds but right now they are doing great."
Meanwhile, Fox shares three kids with ex Brian Austin Green: Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8.
The American Music Awards, hosted by Jennifer Lopez, are airing live Monday, May 26 from Fontainebleau Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
