Hasan Piker, aka HasanAbi, is a streamer/left-wing political commentator who has seen his fair share of controversies in his career. He is reportedly in a relationship with another popular streamer, Valkyrae, who was recently compared to her alleged boyfriend during a livestream.
During a livestream, someone in the chat called her the ‘Female Hasan’, and Valkyrae was visibly taken aback at the comparison. She stated,
Damn, is that what you heard? And I cannot change the way you perceive me, and I accept that, although it hurts.

Valkyrae, whose real name is Rachel Marie Hofstetter, is the co-owner of the gaming organization, 100 Thieves. Rachel has previously won the Game Award for Content Creator of the Year and a Streamy Award for best live streamer. So, why did her viewers compare her to her controversial significant other?
Just like Hasan, Rachel has also been caught in the middle of a few controversies over the last few months. For starters, her podcast co-host, QTCinderella, was facing allegations of racism and homophobia.
Rachel commented on the whole mess, stating that her co-host’s “tone doesn’t help because you inherently sound really angry all the time.” She then added,

Apart from racism allegations, Rachel has been on the receiving end of more and more criticism for one reason or another, including going to controversial commentary streamer, Asmongold, for advice on dealing with backlash.
She also faced the wrath of viewers after she called Twitch streaming “gross“, adding that she sometimes just wants to “quit streaming on Twitch and just only be on YouTube again“.

Due to all this and more, Valkyrae has become the Internet’s latest target. Comparing her to her controversial boyfriend doesn’t help either.
Did Ethan Klein Just Confirm Valkyrae and HasanAbi’s Relationship?
There is a lot of speculation and confusion around the status of Valkyrae and HasanAbi’s relationship. Are they dating? Did they ever date? Have they broken up? There is really no solid answer to these questions.
However, H3 podcast host Ethan Klein just got candid about what’s going on behind the scenes with the reported couple, and he basically confirmed that Rachel and Hasan are indeed together.
On his podcast’s 201st episode, he recalled talking to Hasan about why the streamer has allegedly made the decision to hide the romance from the world. Spilling all the beans, Ethan said,
He’s the type of guy that keeps his girlfriend a secret. You know why, right? And I know this. I’ll just spill the beans. I don’t care at all about him. That’s his decision. I asked, I said, ‘Why do you keep your relationship with Valkyrae a secret? Who cares? Just you guys are dating, be together.’ And it was his decision because he says he doesn’t want people harassing her. I’m like, ‘She’s already like a huge internet personality.
While Hasan apparently wants to “shield” Rachel from the ugly side of the Internet, Ethan’s wife chimed in with her own two cents, claiming that the 34-year-old enjoys the attention he gets.
Hila Klein stated,
I can guess why. He likes everybody dreaming of being with him. He also baits gay guys, like, all the time. So, he just wants to leave all of your dreams open. Doesn’t want to close the door. You know?
Those sure are some serious allegations.
Valkyrae Defended HasanAbi Amidst a Controversy Involving His Dog
HasanAbi and controversies go hand in hand. Netizens have varying opinions on the streamer, and some would even go as far as to call him a “close-minded dips*it who believes he is above all when it comes to political stuff” (via VLR).
Hasan has been accused by multiple people of being disrespectful towards those with opposite beliefs. On the other hand, some believe that he makes good points and has a refreshing perspective.
However, probably the worst controversy he’s involved in has something to do with his dog, Kaya. After a suspicious clip from his stream went viral, Hasan was accused of putting a shock collar on his dog. Check it out:

The collar is visible in the video, but some claim that it could simply be a GPS tracker. Regardless of whether it’s a shock collar or not, people reprimanded Hasan for the way he spoke to her.
Even PETA spoke on the matter. Talking to THR, a representative stated that they hope the allegations are false for the sake of Kaya since shock collars put “dogs at risk of burn wounds, chronic anxiety, and displaced aggression.”
Following the allegations, Hasan defended himself with a sarcastic comment (via Forbes):
Yes, I am incredibly abusive, to the not only best trained, but also the best behaving and most spoiled dog on the planet. She yelped because she f**king clipped herself on something when she was getting off the bed. I gave her the place command while she was getting off, and then she yelped. She had broken the previous bed. I suspect it’s coming from some crazy haters. She yelped when she was getting off the bed, because I assume she either stepped funny, or clipped her foot on something.
Valkyrae also spoke in Hasan’s support during a stream, stating that Kaya is the “most loved and spoiled” dog ever, and emphasized the streamer’s care for his dog:

Well, there you have it. Valkyrae and HasanAbi may not have confirmed their relationship to the public, but she knows when to stand for the man she is reportedly with.
