Britney Spears‘ sons haven’t been speaking to her, as per the source (via RadarOnline). On October 21, Kevin Federline confessed some unbelievable information through his memoir release about the artist’s life that even fans weren’t ready for.
Kevin Federline, who is the ex-husband of the star, shared in his memoir You Thought You Knew that ever since the memoir came out, their children Sean Preston and Jayden James have not talked to her. According to insider sources, this is Britney Spears’ “worst nightmare” (via Rob Shuter).
They haven’t spoken to Britney since the book came out. They’ve made their choice — and it is not her.
So what really made the sons take this huge decision? Her ex claimed via his memoir that the Gimme More star previously took cocaine while breastfeeding and she stood on her son’s doorway with a knife in her hands. Her ex also shared during his book’s promotion on a YouTube talk show, Piers Morgan Uncensored:
She saw one of my sons one day this year, and he decided not to go back over there because of what he saw. The other one, Jayden, has stopped seeing her in the last few months because of the situation.
When he was questioned about the reason for their son not being able to talk to her, he mentioned:
That is my sons’ story to tell. The things that they’ve seen are shocking.
Federline also stated that one of his sons shared something really disturbing with him — his son said that he thinks Spears is going to “die.” In other reports, the singer’s ex also mentioned his fear regarding their sons in an interview (via Entertainment Tonight):
As a father, I’m terrified that one day I might wake up and my sons will deal with the unimaginable. I just wish their mom would get help.
While it wasn’t just one-sided conversation, Britney Spears also followed up, saying what her ex claimed to be true is not the same as what her ex shared.

Sean and Jayden believe Kevin’s version, as per the same source, and they think their mom is away from reality. Meanwhile, the singer did try to talk to the sons again, but no one picked up her calls. The insider revealed that the singer is heartbroken (via Rob Shuter):
This is her worst nightmare — her boys are gone, and she does not know how to get them back.
The singer’s friends disclosed that Spears is wishing for the situation to be different and is currently occupied with healing herself.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have two sons, with the eldest being born in 2005 and Jayden in 2006. She added on her website at the time,

While her ex’s comments on breastfeeding while using cocaine are still just a claim, her relationship with her kids was praised in March 2020 when she wrote on Instagram (via Page Six),

In June 2022, Spears began her love life again fully when she got married to Sam Asghari, but unfortunately, her kids weren’t able to attend the wedding. In a 2022 interview, her ex shared videos and comments that truly made it “hurtful” for the singer, and things got worse after that in their relationship.
Federline shared afterward that their sons decided not to see her for months and eventually started living with him in Hawaii the later year (via TMZ). Spears’ then husband Asghari replied to that and shared about the credibility of Federline’s statement,
There is no validity to his statement regarding the kids distancing themselves. The boys are very smart and may realize the tough part was having a father who hasn’t worked in over 15 years.
Federline also later criticized the singer for her nude Instagram photos, and the singer boldly replied that she now has freedom to do so after conservatorship (via Page Six). She added,

Another incident that made their relationship timeline even more challenging was the videos shared by Federline, where the singer seemed to be scolding the kids. The singer clearly responded,
