Recently, Simu Liu posted a photo via Instagram stories showing off his fiancée, Allison Hsu. The picture quickly went viral due to the Avengers: Doomsday baseball cap, colored in Doom green, that Hsu was wearing, along with a t-shirt from The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Hsu, a marketing director at Interscope Records, has been linked with the Marvel star since November 2022. After 2 and a half years of dating, Liu proposed to Hsu in May 2025 in Paris, announcing their engagement via an Instagram post captioned simply as “Us forever.”

Simu Liu and Allison Hsu were first linked together amid his breakup with actress Jade Bender. Although details of how they met have been kept under wraps, the duo went public with their relationship on social media in late November 2022, when Hsu posted a picture of the pair attending a concert.
On December 1, 2022, People confirmed their relationship after Hsu and Liu arrived at the Violent Nights premiere in adorable Christmas sweaters.
In the 3 years since, the Shang-Chi star and the marketing director have both achieved important milestones in their personal and professional lives. As for Liu, he starred in the $1.44 billion blockbuster, Barbie, and is most recently appearing in the James Wan-produced spy thriller, The Copenhagen Test.
Meanwhile, Hsu was promoted to digital marketing director in March 2023 and leads the digital and social efforts for artists, including Billie Eilish and Lady Gaga, according to Forbes, where she made the publication’s list of 30 Under 30 at the age of 28.
Simu Liu Hypes Up Avengers: Doomsday With His Latest Post

There’s not a single breadcrumb that can escape the eagle-eyed gaze of Marvel fans when it comes to Avengers: Doomsday. With returning artists like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans making headlines, the hype is ever-increasing for the MCU event.
Simu Liu was already confirmed on the movie’s cast list, making Doomsday his second official appearance in the MCU as Shang-Chi after his 2021 debut. His latest post, no matter how little it contributes to the conversation, is still helping to keep the buzz alive when it comes to the upcoming multiversal blockbuster.
Meanwhile, there has been little to no development on the highly anticipated Shang-Chi sequel. Although Liu is still optimistic about the movie [ScreenRant], one can’t really be sure of anything until Marvel is done wrapping up its current Phase 6 slate and moves on to Phase 7 in 2028.
