Keith Urban’s look-alike fan, Dale Whiteside, revealed that he knew about the singer’s divorce from actress Nicole Kidman way before it became public.
The fan, who attended Urban’s September meet-and-greet in Saskatoon, Canada, for his High and Alive world tour, told TMZ that he was speaking to the singer when a couple mistook him for Urban. They eventually realized that Whiteside wasn’t Urban since he didn’t have a wedding ring.
Whiteside mentioned that the ring and the singer’s tattoos are solid ways to distinguish who is who. After they took a photo together, the fan said Urban told him, “Next time, it’ll probably be just the tattoos.”
Of course, at the time, Whiteside had no idea what it meant, not until a few weeks later when Kidman officially filed for divorce.

As per a report obtained by The Guardian, the ex-couple has decided to end their marriage of 19 years due to “marital difficulties and irreconcilable differences.” The documents included a marriage dissolution and a childcare plan submitted for a judge’s approval.
Some of the written agreements between Urban and Kidman state that both will conduct themselves civilly with each other and towards their children to provide a loving and stable relationship.
Both are also encouraged not to speak ill of each other or any members of the family. Since both of them earn more than $100,000 per month, neither demands childcare or spousal support.
The ex-couple went through a tumultuous time over the course of their lengthy married life. Not long after they tied the knot, Urban was sent to rehab for alcohol addiction. When he was released, the couple decided to move to Nashville, Tennessee, in 2007.

Last year, the Somebody Like You singer gave a moving speech at the AFI Life Achievement event and revealed to the crowd how his own personal troubles nearly ended their marriage. The video resurfaced following their shocking divorce. Urban said (via TNT):
We got married in June 2006 and barely four months into our marriage, my addictions that I had done really nothing about blew our marriage to smithereens.
Urban recalled how his ex-wife pushed through every negative voice, including her own, ultimately choosing to love and to understand. This choice saved their marriage, which lasted for almost two decades.
Many fans were devastated to hear about the A-list couple’s divorce, though some aren’t surprised by the decision, especially with the past troubles they have faced.
