By Richard Martinez 10/08/2025

Demi Lovato stunned and bewildered fans with a dramatically altered appearance at Paris Fashion Week 2025, prompting questions that range from “she clearly took ozempic” to “Her face still busted tho”. The pop icon’s cheekbones, lips, and overall look turned heads. And while some praised her daring glam, others questioned whether it was artistry or augmentation at play.

At the Coperni Spring/Summer 2026 show, Lovato’s all-black no-pants ensemble, featuring a fitted bodysuit, sheer cargo tights, a fur-textured jacket, and toe-piercing heels. It was only half the spectacle. The real chatter began when fans saw her face. Online comments flooded in, with many struggling to recognize the 31-year-old singer.

Let’s have a look at a few fans’ comments:

The Ozempic whispers weren’t far behind either. While she hasn’t confirmed anything beyond injectables, the changes are undeniably stark.

Has Demi Lovato Had Cosmetic Procedures? Here’s What She Admitted About Her Face

Plastic surgery or masterful contouring? The jury’s still out, but one thing’s clear: Demi Lovato isn’t pretending she woke up like this. The singer has publicly acknowledged using Xeomin, an FDA-approved anti-wrinkle injection. In her 2024 PEOPLE interview, Lovato detailed her choice:

I’ve always believed in making choices that are empowering, [keep you] true to yourself and help you look and feel your best.

Lovato said she gets the procedure done every three months:

It gives me the results I want while still looking like myself.

And while fans debate the changes, Lovato champions transparency:

I’m always transparent with my fans, and this is something I wanted to share. It normalizes it and takes the taboo away from injectables. It’s all about what makes you feel like your best self. Don’t listen to naysayers. Do what makes you feel comfortable in your own skin.

So far, she hasn’t addressed the Ozempic rumors or any other use of facial fillers. But considering how obsessed the public has become with celebs’ transformations, her openness about injectables is a bold move in a culture still strangely secretive about such choices.

Demi Lovato Says Being Openly Queer Helped Her Live Authentically

While the public may be fixated on her face, Demi Lovato has her mind set on something far deeper: authenticity. In a recent PAPER magazine interview, the singer explained how being openly queer and pansexual has helped her find true freedom.

I just have always felt safer in queer spaces, and I think that’s because queer people have a way of living so authentically that it makes me feel like I can live authentically.

She revealed that queer clubs are her haven:

If I were to go to a straight club, it just doesn’t feel as safe… When I go to a queer space, I know I’ll have a great time.

Her journey from a closeted queer kid in Texas, haunted by religious shame, to a confident performer proudly embracing her identity, has been one of emotional tectonics. To quote her:

As a queer kid in Texas, I had a lot of religious shame around coming out, and I think that’s because growing up in the Bible belt … or maybe Texas isn’t in the Bible belt, but you know what I mean. Same thing. So now I get to go out, and I get to live authentically and be myself, and it feels amazing.

Lovato came out as non-binary in 2021, later reintroducing she/her pronouns. She describes her gender and s*xuality as fluid. “I’ve always known I was hella queer, but I have fully embraced it,” she told TODAY. Married to Jordan Lutes since May 2025, Lovato told PAPER that her upcoming album, It’s Not That Deep, reflects this lighter, love-filled chapter.

The tone of my life is lighter… I wanted a project that reflected that.

While the internet chews on her cheeks and speculates about syringes and weight loss meds, perhaps we should be asking: Is she happy? And more importantly, why do we feel entitled to dissect someone else’s evolution?

What do you think? And hey, are you vibing with this version of Demi Lovato or do you miss the old one? Spill in the comments!

Demi Lovato’s new album, It’s Not That Deep, will drop on October 24 on all major platforms.
