No, Marry My Husband star Lee Yi-Kyung has not been dropped by How Do You Play / Hangout With Yoo following controversial social media rumors. Instead, it was recently revealed by his agency, Sangyoung ENT, that he has left the show due to filming schedules (via Chosun Daily).
The actor will continue to remain a part of other shows like I Am Solo and Brave Detectives as a fixed cast member. Contrary to the recent rumors that he has been dumped by the show after three years due to a recent controversy, the actor’s departure is purely due to scheduling issues.
Lee Yi-Kyung Part Ways with Hangout with Yoo Due to Scheduling Conflict

Lee Yi-Kyung joined MBC’s Hangout with Yoo / How Do You Play back in 2022. However, scheduling issues have prevented him from being a cast member because of the show’s gruelling filming schedule.
Following his exit, an official from his company stated (via Naver):
Hangout with Yoo? films every Thursday, but it has become difficult to adjust his schedule due to his schedule. He has been filming the movie ‘Generation Regret’ since September and will be starting filming another movie soon. He is busy filming two movies in four months.
The reason why he has not left other regular programs is that they film once a month. After news of his exit surfaced, a representative from Hangout with Yoo thanked the star for his contribution (via Chosun Daily):
Lee Yi-kyung had been struggling to balance his schedule, including overseas commitments, and recently expressed his intention to leave the program. After respecting his decision, the production team mutually agreed to support each other’s paths. We are grateful to Lee Yi-kyung for his passion despite his busy schedule. We will continue to do our best to deliver quality content.
Yi-Kyung made his debut back in 2012 with the film White Night. Since then, he has appeared in several dramas such as My Love from the Star, Marry My Husband, and Face Me.
Lee Yi-Kyung’s Agency Files Defamation Case Over False Rumors

Recently, Lee Yi-kyung’s personal life became the centre of attention when a German woman posted alleged photos of her conversation with the actor from KakaoTalk and Instagram on a Naver blog.
The posts spread online and reportedly contained inappropriate content. However, the woman later apologized and stated (via Chosun Daily):
The messages were manipulated using AI. I am truly sorry for spreading malicious rumors. I started with fan sentiment, but became overly emotionally involved. I feel guilty and will take responsibility if needed.
Following the allegations, Sangyoung ENT filed a criminal complaint against the person. In a statement released on Monday, the agency revealed that they had submitted the evidence and a complaint to the Seoul Gangnam Police Station against the individual for defamation and spreading false information about the actor (via The Korea Times).
We express deep regret over the situation. Through our legal representatives, we have filed complaints against those responsible for posting and circulating false claims. There have been no settlement discussions or compensation attempts, nor will there be any going forward.
