Val Kilmer once tweeted about an unbelievable encounter with Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie – which was so bizarre fans didn't think it was true.
Back in 2017, Val, who tragically passed away at 65 from pneumonia this week, took to X, which was called Twitter at the time, to tell fans about a story he allegedly shared with the Lara Croft star.
"Once Angelina Jolie gave me a ride home on a jet. I surprised her by filling it w/gardenias. She'd also brought a French actor. He was mad," he wrote, which prompted a huge reaction from his thousands of followers.

One fan @odusmykal replied: "Pics or it never happened.." as Val clapped back, "I swear. I have pictures of us in Morocco how would that be?"
Another user @SussanFordham asked, "lol, Val, were you mad too when she bought him along? Lol," to which the Batman Forever star replied, "I didn't mind cause he had to work harder and I've known her for a while… preBrad days."
A third person @DaOneToFollow joined in on the chatter, probing, "Did you 2 date Val?" Val then joked, "No we're just friends. We kissed once in an elevator. But who hasn't?"
Angelina and Val Kilmer sparked romance rumors while working on their 2004 film Alexander, in which the pair played the feuding mother and father of Alexander the Great. While there's no evidence they dated at the time, the Top Gun star admitted he had a crush on Angelina in his 2020 memoir I'm Your Huckleberry.
"I couldn't wait to kiss Angie, buy her a Gulfstream jet and have a V+J painted in rainbow glory on the tail," Val penne, adding, "She had recently adopted her first child, Maddox, and the paparazzi were obsessed with this postmodern Madonna, the perfect picture of unapproachable stardom and impossibly chic maternal instinct."
The actor also confessed he went as far as to ask the director to add some flashback scenes where the on-screen couple were in love, writing, "He didn't pick up on the humor.
"I tried to clarify. Finally, I just sighed. 'Oh, never mind. I just dig her, Oliver [Stone]. It would be nice if we had some flashbacks when they were in love and happy together.'"
Aside from Angelina, Val was also romantically linked to the likes of Cindy Crawford and Cher, but it was his split from actress Daryl Hannah that left the biggest hole in his heart. “Lord knows I’ve suffered heartache. But Daryl was by far the most painful of all," Val wrote in his 2020 memoir.
He added: "I am still in love with Daryl. When we broke up, I cried every single day for half a year." Val and Daryl began dating after they worked together on the 2002 movie Hard Cash.
