Tom Felton’s Celebrity Crush Isn’t Emma Watson: It’s the Bombshell We All Fell In Love With In the 2000s

Emma Watson might always be linked to Tom Felton because of her adorable Hogwarts-era crush story, but The CW’s The Flash actor once revealed that his own first celebrity crush was someone completely different, but not quite unexpected. Speaking with Seventeen in 2009, Felton admitted being smitten with 2000s heart-throb Megan Fox

Megan Fox. I’m being suckered in by the Transformers pictures right now. I’ve seen her on the red carpet and in pictures, and she does look gorgeous. I’m glad my girlfriend’s not in the room to hear me say that.

Well, it turns out, long before the Draco-and-Hermione fandom shipped Tom Felton with his sister-like co-stars Emma Watson, the actor had developed his first celebrity crush on Megan Fox. And honestly, who hasn’t? At the height of her Transformers fame, followed by Jennifer’s Body, Fox was the ultimate global crush.

Tom Felton Confessed to Crushing on Helena Bonham Carter on Harry Potter Set

Well, now that we know Tom Felton had a crush on Megan Fox, the story doesn’t end there. Turns out, Felton, with parchment skin and platinum-blond hair, who played the Slytherin baddie Draco Malfoy, and left Emma Watson crushing hard on him like every other teenage girl, himself developed a crush on an older co-star.

Yep, speaking with Metro (via Daily Express), Tom Felton confessed to developing a crush on Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix Lestrange, his on-screen aunt in Harry Potter. Well, it may sound surprising, but the actor seems to have always had a soft spot for older actresses who carry strong personalities.

I had a little boy crush on Helena Bonham Carter – she’s very beautiful.

He further told The Standard

[Helena Bonham Carter] is completely unique, an English rose with a crazy twist. She wears vintage French clothing and she’s very cheeky. Off the set it’s all hugs and darlings, then when the camera starts rolling she turns into a complete psycho. It’s amazing to watch.

For Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter wasn’t just a co-star, she was someone he admired deeply, both as an actress and as a person. In fact, he loved her unique energy and the way she carried herself. Plus, watching her transform from a sweet, warm person off-camera into a terrifying villain on-screen completely fascinated him.

Megan Fox Struggled With Fame After Transformers Turned Her Into a S-x Symbol

Meanwhile, although Megan Fox became the world’s ultimate crush after Transformers, the fame came with a heavy cost. The movie made her a global star almost overnight, but it also pushed her into a spotlight she wasn’t prepared for. Years later, during a special screening of Jennifer’s Body, Fox admitted she felt completely “lost” during that time.

The actress mentioned how she was trying to understand her place in Hollywood while dealing with intense pressure and misbehavior from paparazzi. So, opening up about how painful those early years were, Fox said she was dealing with anger, frustration, and sadness because of how she was treated in the industry (via People).

I think where I was at that point in my life, so lost, so full of that rage that I had towards how I had been treated in the industry… I just left a premiere for something where I had to go — I’m obligated to go — and I remember the paparazzi were so ruthless back then — the way they would talk to women.

She further added,

And I walked out just to try to get to my car, and they’re all shooting. And one guy’s like, ‘Megan, why are you such a b*tch?’ And another guy is like, ‘Megan, do you think you’re overrated? The internet says so,’ and I’m just trying to do my job.

Basically, everything happened so fast that instead of being celebrated for her talent, Megan Fox was often reduced to a label, a s-x symbol, something she never wanted to be trapped in. Fox said she was just trying to do her job, but the constant cruelty left her overwhelmed.
