It was back in 2020 when the world was shocked by the passing away of Chadwick Boseman. The actor not only carried the Black Panther’s flame in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also starred in many beloved films, including 21 Bridges, Marshall, and Get on Top. In light of his contributions to cinema, Boseman was posthumously awarded a star on the prestigious Walk of Fame on November 20, 2025 (via Marvel.com).
Meanwhile, there have been a few actors who have played vital roles in Marvel movies, be it MCU or non-MCU production, and this article is to pay our respects to them. We believe these 5 actors have earned a star on the California landmark.
Boseman was last seen in Avengers: Endgame, chanting his Wakandan war cry so loudly that it shook our souls. He was 43.
1. Kenneth Mitchell

Kenneth Mitchell was seen in 2019’s Captain Marvel playing the father of the young Carol Danvers, Joseph Danvers. He was seen in the flashbacks of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. The actor grabbed the limelight in the MCU movie, even amid great names, including Jude Law, Samuel L. Jackson, and Djimon Hounsou. Mitchell passed away at 49, leaving a void in the hearts of his fans. He died after fighting a battle with ALS for nearly six years.
The Canadian actor’s other outings include Star Trek: Discovery. Meanwhile, he is best known for his role in CSI: Cyber. Another movie he did with a strong cast is 2003’s The Recruit, which starred Al Pacino, Colin Farrell, Bridget Moynahan, and Gabriel Macht from Suits.
2. Bill Paxton

Bill Paxton was seen playing the character of John Garrett in Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. alongside Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, and others. He was the prime antagonist of the first season. Paxton died at the age of 61, back in February 2017, following a stroke.
Known for his superior portrayals in 1996’s Twister, 1986’s Aliens, James Cameron’s Titanic, as well as Nightcrawler, Bill Paxton left a strong impact on all of us.
3. Ray Stevenson

Ray Stevenson was an Irish actor who not only portrayed the role of Volstagg in Thor: The Dark World but also led his own movie, the 2008 Punisher: War Zone. Besides this, he was also a part of the Star Wars spin-off series Ahsoka. He played the character of Baylan Skoll, alongside
Rasario Dawson, Hayden Christensen, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Stevenson passed away at the age of 58 in May 2023. His cause of death is still undisclosed. The actor reportedly collapsed during the filming of an action movie in Ischia, Italy, according to the BBC. It was just days before his 59th birthday.
4. Julian McMahon

The name will instantly make you remember the strong portrayal of Dr. Victor Von Doom in the Fox Studios’ Fantastic Four movies. He was seen alongside a great cast, including Ioan Gruffudd, Michael Chiklis, Jessica Alba, and Chris Evans. He carried the mantle of Dr. Doom in both outings that Fantastic Four received back in the day, then starred alongside Doug Jones, Laurence Fishburne, and Andre Braugher.
Not many people know that the actor was fighting a battle with cancer, following which he passed away in July 2025, at the age of 56. Some other entries under his belt are Charmed, FBI: Most Wanted, Premonition, and more.
5. William Hurt




The only General Thaddeus Ross of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before Harrison Ford stepped in. Also known as Thunderbolt, the actor depicted the military general’s role so strongly that he had to be replaced by Han Solo and Indiana Jones himself.
Hurt was first seen in The Incredible Hulk, and carried the character all the way till 2021’s Black Widow, also tearing apart the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War. He passed away in March 2022, following complications from terminal prostate cancer. The actor was diagnosed with a medical issue back in 2018, as per CNN.
Over the years, we have lost multiple stars from Marvel, while these were only five names, there are still many who deserve to be on the Walk of Fame.
