The Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco gets cosy with Pete Davidson in first look at new rom-com Meet Cute

US streaming service Peacock has dropped the first look at stars Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson in the science fiction romantic comedy Meet Cute.

The film follows Sheila (Kaley), a woman who uses a time machine to engineer a love at first sight meet cute between herself and Gary (Pete).

However, when Gary doesn’t measure up to Sheila’s idea of the perfect man after their first date, she heads further back in time to heal his past trauma and create a perfect match.

Ahead of the film’s release in September, Peacock has released a first look and Kaley and Pete’s characters getting cosy in romantic scenes.

The above pictures show the pair sharing intimate moments in a romantic outdoor setting.

Not much else is known about the upcoming rom-com, but Kaley and Pete were frequently spotted filming the movie around New York.

When filming finished, Kaley took to Instagram, sharing a sweet snap of her and Davidson and writing, “That’s a wrap on ‘Meet Cute’!! What an experience! Loved every single human involved with this special little gem of a of film.”

She added: “Would do it over and over and over again (get it? It’s a time travel joke lol) see the movie and you will understand.”

“Meet Cute” is directed by Alex Lehmann, who previously helmed the films “Acidman,” “Paddleton” and “Blue Jay.”

In a statement, the director said it was “joy” making the film.

“I’m excited for audiences to get swept away on this wild romantic ride exclusively on Peacock,” he added.

Prior to filming, Kaley starred in the second season of the HBO’s award-winning series, The Flight Attendant.

Earlier this month she revealed to Variety that she’ll be returning to play Cassie Bowden for a third time.

“I was at a dinner a couple of weeks ago sitting next to [executive producer] Greg Berlanti, and there were a lot of people there so it was really hard to talk, but I whispered to him, and I’m like, ‘Third season?’ And he just nodded at me.

“I was like, ‘Wow.’ He didn’t even say anything. He nodded. Yup!” she continued.

“I hadn’t thought about it in awhile, I think season 2 was so heavy for me, that was a big part of it and now having some separation. And again, we’d have to depend on what it would look like.”

Meanwhile, The Suicide Squad actor Pete has an upcoming role as Max in James DeMonaco’s horror thriller, The Home.

Meet Cute will be available on Peacock in the US on 21 September. A UK release date is yet to be announced.
