Renowned author Stephen King recently posted a tweet criticizing US President Donald Trump for not releasing the controversial Epstein files. The said files refer to a list of client names associated with convicted s*x offender Jeffrey Epstein, with the politician allegedly part of the contact book.
Look, it's pretty simple: If the Epstein files don't incriminate Trump, why won't he release them?
Interestingly, this was not the author’s stance a few months ago. He posted a bizarre tweet that stirred buzz on social media, mostly with fans slamming him for allegedly defending Epstein. King, who is known for his popular horror novels, has been using his social media platform to voice his political opinions.
Stephen King Was Previously Under Fire for a Controversial Epstein List Post

This isn’t the first time King spoke about the Epstein list. Back in July, the author made a shocking tweet that suggested the scandalous contact book is merely a fantasy. Read his tweet below:
The Epstein client list is real.
So is the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus.
His message earned the ire of fans, and many questioned whether he’s showing support for Epstein. He followed it up with another shocking post, perhaps due to the massive backlash the original one received.
Boy, I hit a nerve with that Epstein post. 🤣
The “list” is like UFOs: Everyone knows someone who’s seen one. 🤣
This move confused the public, especially after King had been a longtime critic of Trump. Today, he seemingly shifted gears again, wondering why the president is taking so long to release the client list.
Donald Trump Wants Epstein Files Released, Claims He Has Nothing to Hide

Like King, Trump also made a U-turn after he urged the Republicans to vote to release the Epstein case files. In the past, he was against the proposal of making the documents public, but now he’s having a change of heart.
In a recent post on his Truth Social page, Trump wrote:
As I said on Friday night aboard Air Force One to the Fake News Media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files, because we have nothing to hide.
Both democrats and some Republicans have been pushing for the release of the Epstein list. This bill would force the Justice Department to publicize all documents related to the convicted s*x offender, which also includes the investigation of his death inside prison.
Epstein was convicted in 2008 for child prostitution, serving almost 13 months in custody with extensive work release. He was jailed again in July 2019 on federal charges for s*x trafficking. Epstein died a month later after he was found hanging in his cell.
