Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman reunite after rumored fallout and prove they have a strong friendship

Salma Hayek and Nicole Kidman just made it clear that there’s no bad blood between them. Reuniting at the 10th Annual Kering Women in Motion Awards during the Cannes Film Festival, the two actresses posed together with radiant smiles and a warm embrace, officially putting to rest last year’s rumored fallout.

Wearing stunning ensembles at the highly anticipated event, the two posed arm-in-arm for the cameras and were later seen smiling alongside French politician Rachida Dati and François-Henri Pinault, Salma’s husband and the CEO of Kering.

Nicole stunned in a scarlet lace gown while Salma turned heads in a figure-hugging petroleum green dress with a plunging neckline. Nicole was the evening’s main honoree, receiving the 2025 Women in Motion Award for her ongoing influence and dedication to cinema.

Taking the stage with grace, she delivered a powerful message, joining a star-studded list of past Women in Motion Award recipients, including Viola Davis, Michelle Yeoh, Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Geena Davis.

Salma and Nicole's glamorous reunion comes just months after a viral moment during Paris Fashion Week last fall, which had fans speculating about a possible rift. In the video, Salma appeared to reach for Nicole’s hand to pose with Katy Perry, only for Nicole to swiftly pull away.

The moment sparked headlines and heated debate on social media, but according to sources close to both actresses, there was never any drama, and they continue to have a supporting and loving friendship after their successful journeys in Hollywood.

Their recent display of friendship is not the first time they have publicly shown their appreciation for each other since the incident. Earlier this year, they were spotted chatting, laughing, and even holding hands at the Golden Globes, clearly unbothered by the online attention.

Nicole's latest recognition at the 10th Annual Kering Women in Motion Awards during the Cannes Film Festival was created by Kering and honors women who have made impactful contributions to cinema and support gender equity across the film industry.
