Although it remains speculation at this point, this would indeed be very sad if it turns out to be true. According to a new Avengers: Doomsday report, The Kristian Harloff Show (via X) suspects that Sir Patrick Stewart’s final role as Professor Charles Xavier would be in Avengers: Doomsday.

Not only will Avengers: Doomsday be Patrick Stewart’s final appearance as Charles Xavier, but it will also allegedly be his last role in his Hollywood career as well.
Patrick Stewart Had Previously Retired From the X-Men Franchise with Logan
Although Patrick Stewart had said that he was done with the character of Professor X after the events of Logan (which gave the character a satisfying end), he later reprised the role for a cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
However, with the confirmation that the actor will also appear as Professor X in Avengers: Doomsday, the final role rumors are turning out to be true. This goes alongside the Kevin Feige comments about a soft-reboot and passing the baton thing for the future generation of the MCU.
On the other hand, Patrick Stewart is also an actor who cannot let go of the role, as seen with his return in Doctor Strange 2 after Logan. Hence, it’s a wild speculation that there is a 50-50 probability that Patrick Stewart might just quit acting for good.
Will Patrick Stewart Truly Retire From Acting? Not Entirely True
With a plethora of accolades, movies, and awards to his name, Sir Patrick Stewart is an iconic actor who has also played his part in Shakespearean theater plays.
Back in 2012, the actor had made a statement to The Standard that he considers retirement from acting as “Unthinkable”.
So long as the body and the mind are capable, I shall be going off to rehearsals. Stopping is unthinkable. What would I do? This is my life.
Naturally, it‘s possible that Patrick Stewart might be quitting acting in movies, but he’s unlikely to quit live theater. There are strong rumors that he will continue to appear in live theater and other projects as long as he remains physically active and mentally capable.
The Avengers: Doomsday talk also remains speculation as Patrick Stewart hasn’t confirmed any of it, yet. However, we do hope that the actor does not quit Hollywood just yet.
