Disgraced rapper Diddy, aka Sean Combs, is now serving out his sentence at FCI Fort Dix, New Jersey, and will remain to do so until his projected release date, which is June 4, 2028. For those who are curious about what happens inside this new prison, former inmates spoke with US Weekly to share their own experiences.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Joe Giudice, who was jailed for fraud, revealed that Combs’ fate will entirely depend on his conduct inside the facility. This means he should keep a low profile and not act like a diva.
He also said that violence happens quite often inside the prison over the most trivial things. “I’ve seen people get stabbed over an onion. You ain’t in there with the most stable people,” he said. What’s more shocking was the group s*x he witnessed inside the washroom:
I got up at, like, three or four in the morning to go to the bathroom and you would see the craziest things in there, people you would never imagine. [The guards] hear the shower going at night, and they just look the other way.
The living conditions of the inmates at Fort Dix were far from bearable. Another inmate who remained anonymous said that there’s only one bathroom per floor, everything was broken, and the food was expired.
Diddy’s Life at Fort Dix Prison Is Easier Than His Stay At MDC

Combs, who was arrested on September 16, 2024, was transferred from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to Fort Dix, a low-security facility with around 4,000 prisoners, on October 30. He was found guilty on two charges of prostitution across state lines.
According to former inmate Bill Baroni, Combs’ life in his new prison is way more lenient than the previous one. “He’s going from one of the most severe prisons in America to a low-security [one],” he added.
In fact, the rapper could avail special services, such as getting his clothes tailored and chefs making food for him. The hardest part he will have to endure here is “how slow time goes.” Most of their time is spent staring at screens or pacing back and forth. Exercising and reading books were a much pleasing activity.
What Diddy Is Currently Doing Inside Prison: Jobs & Routines

Diddy is currently working as a chaplain’s assistant and enrolled in an intensive drug treatment program. The convicted rapper’s assignment includes maintaining the chaplain’s religious library by cleaning their office and helping with record-keeping.
Combs reportedly enjoys his task as it allows him to work in a private air-conditioned room with food provided.
The rapper is also undergoing a drug treatment program, which can help reduce his sentence. According to Combs’ publicist, he is actively participating and taking it seriously.
