As Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman deal with their divorce, an insider has come forward to claim that the country singer is left embarrassed and ashamed as he becomes the “bad guy” in the public’s eye.
Ever since the world found out that Kidman and Urban would be going their separate ways after two decades of being in love, there have been rumors about his reported infidelity, his relationship with the women around him, and more. It’s being claimed that Urban moved on from Kidman in the blink of an eye, all resulting in him being deemed the antagonist in the situation.
According to a source who spoke to Woman’s Day, Urban’s absence from the public eye is not unintentional. The insider stated that the 57-year-old is currently in hiding, as things are too “awkward” to deal with at the moment.
Things are just too awkward right now and Keith just doesn’t have the confidence to face all the press. He’s got paps hunting him down and he’s no longer taking direct calls.
Urban has teamed up with Blake Shelton for a new reality show, The Road, where 12 emerging musicians will compete for the trophy. He was absent from the show’s Nashville premiere on October 15. Now, the insider has spilled the beans, as they claim,

On the other hand, reports have come out stating that Nicole Kidman never wanted her marriage to Keith Urban to come to an end. A source told PEOPLE recently, “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.“
Kidman is also reportedly “devastated“ upon hearing rumors about Urban moving on with someone else days after the divorce (via Radar Online). Despite it all, the actress is putting on a brave face, and while her ex-husband may have gone M.I.A., she isn’t going to.
Earlier this month, she attended amFAR’s Dallas auction, marking her first major public appearance since the divorce. The event was set up for the benefit of the non-profit’s efforts in advancing AIDS research as well as the prevention of HIV worldwide.
Looking stunning in an off-shoulder black dress, Kidman presented her Lioness colleague, Taylor Sheridan, with the night’s Award of Inspiration. She stated in her speech,

Nicole Kidman Is Reportedly Hiding Her True Feelings About the Divorce
As Nicole Kidman smiles for the cameras, she is reportedly going through an emotional storm at the moment, which is pretty valid. A source told Star Magazine that the actress hasn’t fully processed her split with Keith Urban, and may even be struggling behind her million-dollar smile.
The source stated, “She’s been a total pro throughout this, and her number one goal is to stay strong and not crumble for the sake of her daughters, as well as herself.“
Of course, this is “easier said than done” as she wholeheartedly believed that Urban was “the love of her life“. It’s going to be a long journey before she can let go of that part of her life.
