Kaley Cuoco has opened up about motherhood and her ‘thriving daughter, Matilda, weeks after giving birth.
The Big Bang Theory actress, 37, welcomed her first child with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey, 40, at the very end of March, and has been posting glimpses of the newborn on social media ever since.
Speaking about the little one in a new interview, she joked that she had become the mom who shared everything that her daughter does.
Appearing on the red carpet at the An Evening From the Heart fundraiser for the John Ritter Foundation in LA on Thursday, the Emmy-nominee said: ‘She’s amazing. She’s five weeks old and she was laughing today, full on laughing and I was like, “This kid is hysterical!”
‘I’ve become that mom who posts every freaking thing. She does something, and I’m like, “I have to post that!”’
Kaley approached the next stage in her life with a difference, and shunned parenting books before giving birth – while she joked that her partner had studied everything.
She revealed that she had absolutely no regrets over the decision, continuing to Entertainment Tonight: ‘Still haven’t read a damn thing. We find ourselves in a very natural situation. We’re just going with the flow. She really tells us what she wants, it’s very clear, it’s like one of three things.
‘She’s really just awesome, and we’re loving it. We’re loving being at home with her. We didn’t read anything and it’s working for us.’
The Flight Attendant star and the Ozark actor started dating last April, and announced their pregnancy news on Instagram last October, following a whirlwind few months.
Kaley shared the news of Matilda’s arrival on social media earlier this year, posting the first photos of the tot.
‘3-30-23. Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey, the new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,’ she wrote at the time.
‘Thank you to the doctors, nurses , family and friends who have helped us immensely over the last few days. We are blessed beyond belief.
