Jennifer Lawrence Breaks Silence on Nudity Rules Of the Film That’s Unavailable to Stream

Jennifer Lawrence recently starred alongside Robert Pattinson in Die My Love, the black comedy-drama directed by Lynne Ramsay. The film is not available for streaming as it is scheduled to be released in theatres on November 7.

While talking to Vulture, the actress talked about her nude scene in the film, which she filmed while she was pregnant with her second child. When asked if she cared about the nude scene in the film, the actress remarked:

I don’t care about nudity. I just don’t. I’m not sensitive about it. I wanted Lynne to have total freedom artistically. I wanted her to be like, Look at that window, look at the light. Go stand naked in front of it. And I think being pregnant took a lot of vanity anxiety away.

The actress also talked about the difference between her nude scene in this film and in No Hard Feelings.

Before No Hard Feelings, I was dieting and not eating carbs and working out. Here, I was pregnant. What was I going to do? Like, not eat? Work out? I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired. So, yeah, it felt really freeing.

Moreover, she also talked about how comfortable she was showing her real body.

I remember them sending over a close-up of cellulite and being like, ‘Do you want us to touch this up?’ And I was like, ‘No, that’s an ass!’

Well, it is inspiring to see a celebrity of her calibre not being shy of her real body, especially in an age when the entertainment industry is busy selling unrealistic beauty standards.

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson Did Not Have An Intimacy Coordinator

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson play a couple in Die My Love. During the press tour of the film, she made an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast and revealed an astonishing detail: they did not have an intimacy coordinator on set.

As for the reason why, the actress answered:

We did not have [an intimacy coordinator], or maybe we did but we didn’t really… I felt really safe with Rob. He is not pervy and very in love with [partner] Suki Waterhouse. We mostly were just talking about our kids and relationships.

She further added,

There was never any weird like, ‘Does he think I like him?’ If there was a little bit of that I would probably have an intimacy coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f**k them, and then the punishment starts. He was not like that.

In the time when the presence of intimacy coordinators has become a standard in Hollywood, Lawrence and Pattinson’s experience offers an uncommon glimpse into their genuine trust and mutual respect.

What is Jennifer Lawrence’s Die My Love About?

Adapted from Ariana Harwicz’s 2012 novel Die, My Love, the movie follows Jenner Lawrence’s Grace, a young mother who develops postpartum depression after the birth of her child. Pattinson stars as her good-for-nothing partner Jackson, both of whom end up having erratic behavior and psychosis.

The official synopsis of the film reads (via IMDb):

Grace, a writer and young mother, is slowly slipping into madness. Locked away in an old house in and around Montana, we see her acting increasingly agitated and erratic, leaving her companion, Jackson, increasingly worried and helpless.

It had its world premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in May, where it was nominated for the Palme d’Or. Apart from Lawrence and Pattinson, the film also stars LaKeith Stanfield, Nick Nolte, and Sissy Spacek in supporting roles.
