Ever since the cast for Avengers: Doomsday has been announced, fans have only one question on their minds: Is Tom Holland really not going to be a part of the big reunion? After all, Tony Stark did make him an Avenger.

Reports are contradictory, to say the least. While some insiders claim that Holland isn’t going to be reprising his role as Peter Parker in Doomsday, others state that his involvement is going to be a surprise.
It was revealed that both Doomsday and Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day were filming simultaneously at the Pinewood Studios in the United Kingdom, leading fans to believe the young actor was in both films, shooting side-by-side.

But then, a report by insider Daniel Richtman, aka DaniekRPK, stated that Holland will not be in Doomsday, at least as far as we know (via CBM). At this point, it is difficult to assume what may or may not happen, but one thing we know is that trusting Marvel Studios often leads to great things!
Meanwhile, fans have also been wondering if Andrew Garfield or Tobey Maguire would be slinging back into the MCU after Spider-Man: No Way Home. To that, Garfield has to say: “No, unequivocally f*cking no” (via GQ).
Where Does Spider-Man: Brand New Day Fall in the Timeline?
Brand New Day is coming out in July 2026, while Doomsday will be released later that year. It’s safe to assume that all our doubts regarding Tom Holland’s involvement in the latter will be answered after his solo film’s release. For now, we are free to speculate
After photos from the set of Brand New Day surfaced on the Internet, eagle-eyed fans were able to notice details that hint at the film’s position in the MCU timeline.

Photos of a construction site reveal that the building in question will be completed by December 2027, which possibly means that Brand New Day will be set before the events of Doomsday, which might take place in either 2028 or 2029, as per ComicBook.com.
Meanwhile, Holland couldn’t be more excited about his upcoming solo adventure. Talking to Complex Pop, he stated that Brand New Day “really feels like we aren’t making the fourth movie. We’re making the first movie in the chapter… This is a rebirth. This is something completely new.”
Tom Holland’s Reported Role in Avengers: Secret Wars
Insider DanielRPK stated in one of his reports (via Reddit) that while Tom Holland will not appear in Doomsday, he will have a major role in Avengers: Secret Wars. What the role could be, no one knows.
However, fans should take these “scoops” with a grain of salt, especially since there are countless conflicting reports floating around the Internet. As users pointed out in the comments, DanielRPK once reported that Holland was close to signing his deal for Doomsday, and he also talked about how Doomsday would see him in a major role, instead of Secret Wars. What to believe?
As far as Holland not showing up in Doomsday goes, fans seem to be pretty okay with it:
Everyone wants every character in the movie, forced into the movie regardless of the plot or anything else. They just want the characters there, and that's it. The same thing happened with Infinity War.
If it means Doom won't dramatically take off his mask and Peter doesn't go, "Mr. Stark?", Peter can gladly wait until Secret Wars to be in the crossover
