Well, George Clooney is not exactly inspired by the Louvre Heist to make Ocean’s 14, but he sure is proud of the job. At the AFI Fest premiere of his film, Jay Kelly, the actor, joked to Variety that he is very proud of the thieves who did the job.
If you’re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.
Recently, four people broke into the famous Louvre Museum in Paris in broad daylight and stole 8 jewellery and valuable pieces reported to be more than $100 million in less than 7 minutes (via ABC News).
The actor went on to state that while the heist was terrible, he wondered if the authorities would ever catch them, given they seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it.

The recently carried out Louvre Heist has become one of the most famous events in recent times. Even George Clooney seems to be impressed by how well it all came about.
Known for portraying the thief Danny Ocean in Ocean’s Eleven and its sequels, the actor joked to Variety that they should include it as a plot in Ocean’s 14.
I think we should rob the Louvre.
At the same event, while talking to Associated Press, he remarked:
I think you gotta put me in, CGI me into that basket coming out of the Louvre. I think you should do that.
While the plot of Ocean’s 14 remains under wraps, it will be interesting to see Danny and the gang pulling off such a heist. Well, as for the Louvre thieves, they remain on the run.
George Clooney Reveals Filming for Ocean’s 14 Will Begin Soon





George Clooney revealed to Variety that the script is done and that everything is going pretty well. However, as for other details, the actor remains mum. But recently, during an interview with E! News, the actor revealed that Warner Bros. has approved the budget for the sequel.
Moreover, the actor added that it is just the scheduling that remains:
We just got the budget approved at Warner Bros. and we’re trying to set up. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us … probably start in about nine or 10 months, shooting.
The original Ocean’s Eleven was released in 2001, starring Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, and Don Cheadle. While the cast has undergone a few changes in recent years, Clooney looked eager to reunite with his former castmates,
Yeah, Brad, Matt and Don and Julia. I had dinner last night with Julia. They’re all still really dear friends. And so, the chance to work together would be fun.
Likely to begin filming next year, the upcoming sequel will bring back Clooney alongside Pitt, Damon, Roberts, and Cheadle. As for the other long-running members of the franchise, it remains unknown. Moreover, the Bullet Train famed director, David Leitch, will direct the film.
