Conspiracy theories have been rampant over the past few years, whether it’s about the moon landing or secret societies. Now, it looks like MrBeast has gotten himself trapped in one.
MrBeast, Adin Ross, and xQc went live a while ago (via YouTube), and knowingly or unknowingly, got pulled into conversations about a conspiracy theory that has fascinated a ton of people – the Ice Wall theory.
Ross asked MrBeast, aka Jimmy Donaldson, if he had ever been to Antarctica, which he confirmed. His fans may remember a video he did where he survived 50 hours in the freezing lands of the continent.
The streamer then asked if he had seen the ice wall. The billionaire appeared to be a little taken aback by the question and tried to answer it, but couldn’t. He said, “There’s a —…There’s—…There…” He stopped himself from finishing his comment and added, “I can’t bro. I can’t say it on stream.” Well, no comment is still a comment.
Meanwhile, Canadian streamer xQc didn’t hold back his words. He said, “Yeah, I saw the ice wall…He saw it too!” While Donaldson refused to get into the details, he did add, “Let’s just say you always need someone with you in Antarctica.”
What Is the Ice Wall Theory and Who Else Believes in It?
Throughout our school life, we have been taught that Antarctica is one of the seven continents that we know. However, the Ice Wall Theory claims that Antarctica is an ice wall going around the Earth. This is believed mainly by Flat Earth supporters,
There is still a major part of the continent that has been left unexplored by humans. Thus, the uncertainty has given rise to many such conspiracies about Antarctica. Some also believe there is a civilization beyond the ice wall, thanks to American aviator Richard E. Byrd.
As per Swoop Antarctica, Byrd took a series of flights to the South Pole in 1928-29, becoming the first after Amundsen and Scott to do so. In 1947-48, he reportedly came across an area surrounded by the ice sheet, but free of snow and with an unfrozen lake in the center – Bunger Hills.
He deemed it one of the most remarkable places on Earth. Via Swoop, “an island suitable for life had been found in a universe of death.” According to conspiracy theorists, Byrd’s “secret diary” mentions him landing in that area surrounded by the mythical ice wall and meeting an ancient civilization with advanced technology.
Now, MrBeast may have seen the rumored ice wall, or he and xQc may just have been toying with the audience, but there is someone else who believes that it might exist – Wiz Khalifa.
Khalifa appeared on The Bootleg Kev Podcast a few months ago, where he dove deep into Flat Earth theories. While he admitted that he isn’t “sold on anything“, he still questions what we know from time to time. Speaking of the moon landing, as well, Khalifa said,
“I also find it very peculiar that we were able to go to the moon in the 60s, but we have yet to do that again.” Adding that anything is possible, Khalifa asked the host, “Do you believe in the ice walls?” he denied. When asked why, he had no real answer, giving Khalifa the chance to say that he doesn’t know because he doesn’t want to, just like many who aren’t asking enough questions.
Another Conspiracy Theory MrBeast Got Mad at Adin Ross For
If the Ice Wall theory wasn’t enough to upset MrBeast, Adin Ross calling the YouTuber a reptile sure was. In the middle of the stream, Ross jokingly said, “He’s a reptile…” and while the streamer laughed, Donaldson was not pleased, to say the least.
Donaldson seemed pretty serious after Ross’ comments, and he said, “You can’t say that“, before adding, “Nah, we’re gonna address that after this call. We’re not letting that slide.“
