While fans of Henry Cavill are still waiting for the release of the highly anticipated reboot of the Highlander franchise, one channel on YouTube has developed an AI concept trailer for the film. In this trailer from KH Studio, with more than 280,000 views, we get a feel of what the actual film might look like.
In it, we can see Cavill in the role of the protagonist, along with actor Russell Crowe and Dave Bautista, popular for playing the role of Drax in the MCU. At the same time, while this might just be an artificial reimagination, Bautista does have good news regarding the filming of the project.
Dave Bautista Shares Positive Update on Highlander’s Production

A couple of weeks back, fans were devastated to learn that during the preparation for the filming process of Highlander, Henry Cavill suffered an injury, which led to the production being delayed. And due to the indefinite nature of this event, it could’ve meant that it would be months before the production restarted.
But now, in an interview with Collider, Dave Bautista assured fans that filming is indeed beginning from November 28, 2025. In addition to this, he also claimed that he believed the project was so unique and artistically challenging that it wasn’t anything less than a masterpiece in the making. He said:
These films are just so different. Highlander [is] so stylized. Highlander is a game changer. It’s like a real game changer.
Therefore, with the filming beginning soon, we can expect the final product to be coming out in 2026 at the earliest, and a trailer or first look even sooner, which should provide some comfort for Cavill and the franchise’s fans.
Highlander and Warhammer 40K Have to Be Henry Cavill’s Magnum Opus

One of the biggest reasons why Highlander and the Warhammer 40K cinematic universe are crucial for Cavill stems from a need for a statement role. Just like his name is attached to iconic characters like Superman and Geralt of Rivia from Netflix’s The Witcher, he needs something that adds to his illustrious career after these aforementioned roles concluded.
Along with that, these projects have a personal association with the star, which means people trust him to create something that fans would love instantly, something that he’s expected to make good upon. Just like going over every source material for the 40K project, he’s also heavily invested in Highlander.
And lastly, not only will he star in these projects, but he will also be invested in the narrative and development of them. Thus, not only will they solidify his acting chops, but also showcase his talents as a creator/producer.
