Sam Rivers, who recently passed away at the age of 48, had to quit touring with his band Limp Bizkit back in 2015 due to a degenerative disc disease. However, that rumor turned out to be false.
According to Loudwire, the musician revealed in an interview that he was actually diagnosed with a liver disease that he got from excessive drinking.
I got liver disease from excessive drinking…. I had to leave Limp Bizkit in 2015 because I felt so horrible, and a few months after that, I realized I had to change everything because I had really bad liver disease.
