No, Tom Cruise is not going to be in the latest NCIS: Origins episode. However, the actor did make a surprise visit to the sets of the show while visiting the Paramount Studios lot. Although it is not known what he was doing at the studio, it might likely be something to do with his films being developed at the studio.
David J. North, NCIS writer, even took to Instagram to share a post on Cruise’s surprise visit. North revealed that Daly’s bar in the show was actually inspired by the bar featured in Top Gun. Moreover, Austin Stowell, the actor who portrays Leroy Gibbs, also shared photos of the day on his Instagram story, captioning it Gibbs & Hunt, NCIS: Impossible (via Deadline).
Tom Cruise’s Edge of Tomorrow Gets a Japanese Remake





Fans of the Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt-starrer action/sci-fi film Edge of Tomorrow (2014) have been waiting for a sequel for years. Although a sequel does not currently exist, an upcoming Japanese animated film is sure to excite fans.
Titled All You Need Is Kill, the film comes from Warner Bros. Japan, and is an adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka’s novel of the same name (which inspired Cruise’s movies). The Japanese film is reportedly a feature-length anime and has recently released its trailer.
As for the synopsis of the film, it reads (via Aynk Anime).
Due to an invasion by extraterrestrial life forms, Rita is trapped in a time loop where she dies and returns to the morning of the same day. Armed with her accumulated memories and experiences, she continues to fight, but no one understands her, and the seemingly endless battle eats away at her heart. At that moment, a man named Cage appears before her. ‘I too… am repeating today over and over again.’ Will this fateful encounter between the two bring hope to change the endless battlefield…? An action-fantasy sci-fi story depicted with stunning visuals!
Directed by Kenichiro Akimoto, with a screenplay by Yuichiro Kido, the film stars Ai Mikami, Natsuki Hanae, Kana Hanazawa, Hiccorohee, and more as the voice cast. Moreover, it debuted at the New York Comic Con and will be released in Japan in January 2026. As for a global release, the details are yet to be revealed.
