Donald Trump Worried About Who Owns WB Because of a Particularly Embarrassing Unaired Episode in WB’s Vault (Report)

By Andrew Martin 10/24/2025

An unconfirmed yet surprising report came out that President Donald Trump was interested in seeing which company WB would be sold to (via The New York Post). But now, in a tweet by film industry insider Jeff Sneider, it’s being claimed that Trump is more interested in one of the documentary series, titled Taxicab Confessions, that Warner Bros. has in its vault.

I’m told that Trump cares about who owns Warner Bros. Discovery because there is a particularly embarrassing, unaired episode of TAXICAB CONFESSIONS in the HBO vault, right alongside the pilots of TILDA and THE CORRECTIONS, that he wants destroyed. https://t.co/jBIRlPciRp

Thus, with the history that Taxicab Confessions had on the documentary scene for 11 seasons, it wouldn’t be surprising if they caught an embarrassing moment of Trump before he became the US President.

Taxicab Confessions Can Shatter President Donald Trump’s Reputation Even Further

After he took office in January 2025, President Donald Trump has constantly found himself amidst a lot of public backlash and some controversies, including the infamous Jeffrey Epstein list and the debacle of its release. But now, his interest in the sale of WB, mixed in with what Sneider said, it seems like there’s something more that he might find himself in the crosshairs of.

Taxicab Confessions was a reality/documentary series that began in 1995, with its first season being released on HBO at the time. The show was centered around capturing unscripted conversations of unsuspecting taxi passengers in New York City and Las Vegas. And among its 11 seasons, it’s obvious that not all of them were aired for the public.

Here’s more information on Taxicab Confessions.

As per Sneider’s sources, there could very well be an episode that featured the now President of the United States, who is a real estate mogul who started in New York City. Thus, one of those unaired episodes might feature him talking or doing something that could very well be extremely embarrassing, especially for a US president.

And while these reports aren’t confirmed, there’s always a possibility of this claim being true.

Why President Trump’s Policy of Regulating the Film Industry Is Not Working

Via the implementation of tariffs and other protective measures, President Trump has taken the initiative to stop big-budget Hollywood projects from being made outside the United States (via Reuters). His policy claims that this is being done for national security, as the film industry is under threat from foreign-incentivized production.

And while it may seem like a nationalistic approach at first, there has been a lot of backlash surrounding the President’s decision. The first problem is the vague nature of the tariffs, which don’t clearly state whether they will be levied on projects partially produced outside the US or just those that are completely made in foreign countries.

In addition, the problems of key issues such as high costs, an underpaid workforce, and the uncertain state of large-scale strikes will not change just because of neutralizing foreign incentives. And given the global nature of filmmaking, many projects require foreign locations and environments, which isn’t possible if they’re limited to the US alone.

Therefore, though a noble idea, the decisions taken by Trump are creating more problems and confusion for the film industry rather than solving it at the moment.
