Donald Glover recently delivered heartbreaking news about his health at the Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2025. Glover, or as he’s better known as, Childish Gambino, sat down and got intimate with his audience, revealing the reason he had to cancel his North American, UK and European tour.

What was originally an undisclosed ailment has now been revealed to be a hole in Donald Glover’s heart, along with a stroke. The rapper explained (via NME):
I had a really bad pain in my head in Louisiana, and I did the show anyway. I couldn’t really see well, so when we went to Houston, I went to the hospital, and the doctor was like, ‘You had a stroke.’
Thankfully, the Feels Like Summer singer got the surgery required and is in better shape with a whole new outlook on life.

The rapper had a terrible 2024 when it came to his health, as he required multiple surgeries: for his heart and for a broken foot. Childish Gambino felt like he had let his fans down for cancelling his tour and joked about copying Jamie Foxx, who had suffered a similar fate in 2023. Gambino further said:
They say everybody has two lives, and the second life starts when you realise you have one. You should be living your life how you want. If we have to do this again, it can only get better.
