The currently developing case of music artist D4vd being associated with the death of the now-deceased Celeste Rivas just got a huge update, as per the latest podcast episode of the TMZ Network. According to Mark Geragos and Harvey Levin, footage and investigation have uncovered evidence of another man being involved in the crime, although his identity remains unknown.
Another law enforcement source also talked about this suspicion to People a few days back, which stated how D4vd may have had help in dismembering and the attempt at disposing of the deceased teen’s body. At the same time, there has been another update that may have shed some light on Rivas’ prolonged absence before she was found.
Investigation Continues Into Celeste Rivas’ Death in D4vd’s Tesla: Key Details to Know

To recollect what we know so far, the case against D4vd was filed when the dismembered and decomposing body of the deceased Celeste Rivas Hernandez was found in the back of a Tesla. This car was later found to be registered under the music artist’s name, which made him the prime suspect in the death of the 15-year-old girl (via ABC7).
And along with this recent development of there being an accomplice with D4vd, there have also been updates on the missing case of Rivas since 2024. According to sources that talked with Rolling Stone, it’s suspected that before the decomposed body was found, it may have been preserved for a long while.
The sources claim that the remains were either frozen or refrigerated before the transfer was attempted and caught by the LAPD. Therefore, the authorities are calling in outside forensic help to gauge whether this theory holds water, which will concretely explain the teen’s absence, where it was also reported she was seen until a month ago before being found in black bags.
As for now, the music artist remains the prime suspect in the case, and as it develops, more information about this alleged homicide will be reported.
The Aftermath of D4vd’s Association With Celeste Rivas’ Homicide Case

Since D4vd has been suspected as the alleged murderer of Celeste Rivas, his career has obviously been in a downward spiral. With these charges becoming public, the concerts slated for September 19 and 20 of his ongoing Withered tour were cancelled, with further suspension indefinitely.
Along with this, his hit song with another artist, Kali Uchis, titled ‘Crashing,’ is also being reported to be taken down under Uchis’ request following the recent allegations that D4vd has received (via Complex).
At the same time, the record label he was signed under, Interscope Records, has currently suspended all promotion of the artist, as well as halted the release of the deluxe version of the Withered album.
