Chick-fil-A launches new way to earn rewards for free food – but customers must look for the ‘cows’

CUSTOMERS at Chick-fil-A can get more rewards toward free food this summer with a unique promotion.

First launched last summer, the Code Moo digital game is back at the fast food chain.

Chick-fil-A has brought back a popular summer promotion this week

Customers must help the cows if they want free food deals

The Code Moo digital game was introduced by Chick-fil-A last year

This year’s version includes a four-stage racing challenge

Those who download the Chick-fil-A mobile application can find and access the updated “top-secret racing car mission” version of Code Moo from July 22 through August 17, per a press release.

By completing the missions that feature the chain’s famous cows of Carrots, Daisy, and Sarge, customers can earn weekly free items from the menu while supplies last.

The Code Moo game for this year features four stages of digital races that customers complete to stop the evil Circus Burger and promote the “Eat More Chikin” message the Chick-fil-A cows are famous for.

They can choose which cow they’d like to play as and the type of vehicle they want to drive in the game to complete each mission.

Completing all the missions each week through August 17 generates a reward that customers can view and scan using the Chick-fil-A mobile app during their next visit.

New missions are uploaded to the digital game every Monday within the promotional period — the first being July 22, then July 29, August 5, and August 12.

SHORT MOO-VIE

Code Moo’s promotional period at Chick-fil-A in 2024 also includes a short and family-friendly film for customers to watch called Rocky Road.

The story follows cows Sarge and Daisy on a “full-throttle mission” to save Carrots, per the release.

It can be viewed through a website dedicated to the Code Moo promotion.

Chick-fil-A also released promotional merchandise through its Cow Collection, including clothes, accessories, key chains, and even plush cows for “fans of all ages” to purchase through a separate website.

'I'm done' fumes Chick-fil-A customer as chain reverses policy after 10 years and foodies call it a 'slippery slope'

Dustin Britt, senior director of brand strategy, investment, and entertainment at Chick-fil-A, praised the promotion as a fun way to help thank customers for their business.

“Summer is here, which means the Cows are back!” Britt noted in Monday’s release.

“This year we have a variety of ways for Guests to get involved in the Cows’ mischief, from our new racing game and short film to the cow-print merch and in-restaurant activities.”

“Bringing the Chick-fil-A Cows to brighten up the summer is a fun — and rewarding — way to thank our Guests!” he added.

How to Play Code Moo

Chick-fil-A customers must follow several steps to play Code Moo and get their opportunity for free menu items from July 22 to August 17.

They must first download the Chick-fil-A mobile application to their phone or gadget.

From there, customers can locate the Code Moo game and begin playing and completing the four racing levels.

A reward will be generated once completed and available to scan through the mobile app to be redeemed with a Chick-fil-A order.

New rewards are generated each Monday within the promotional period on July 22, July 29, August 5, and August 12.

DELECTABLE DECISIONS

It’s unclear if there will also be an opportunity for one lucky customer to win free Chick-fil-A for an entire year, a benefit offered during 2023’s Code Moo promotion.

Customers were also thrilled over another special summer announcement at Chick-fil-A.

The chain confirmed at the end of May that the hand-spun peach milkshake would be available for the 15th straight year.

It arrived alongside the maple pepper bacon sandwich, a first-time offering on the Chick-fil-A menu.

There’s also a special way customers can get a different version of the chain’s frosted drink this summer, according to an employee.

Some also begged for a nationwide release of three new menu items earlier this year at Chick-fil-A.
