We have seen Bennifer. We have seen Bennifer 2.0. Is it time we get to see Bennifer 3.0? Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez‘s relationship has been messy to say the least. Their romantic rendezvous began in the early ’00s and despite their It couple status, the two broke up in 2004.
Seventeen years later, the couple rekindled their romance. They got engaged (again) in April 2022 and finally tied the knot in July 2022. Two weddings and two honeymoons later, their relationship came to an end yet again in 2024 when Lopez filed for divorce.
Now, reports claim that Lopez has her sight set on her ex-husband, with their blended family rooting for Bennifer 3.0. This comes after the former couple had a short reunion during the premiere of Kiss of the Spider Woman on October 06.

Despite their divorce, Lopez has reportedly stayed in touch with Affleck’s children, whom he shares with Jennifer Garner – Violet (19), Fin (16), and Samuel (13). She checks in with them from time to time and even arranges their hangouts with her own children – Max and Emme (17) – whom she shares with Marc Anthony.
According to sources who confided in Radar Online, “That’s gone a long way with Ben’s kids, and what they’d like more than anything, as would J.Lo’s kids, is to see Bennifer 3.0.”
After the reunion, a source told the outlet that Lopez had “a wonderful time with Ben and says he’s as sexy and wonderful as ever“, before adding,
In her mind, they’re destined to be together again, plain and simple. She’s believed that all along and now she’s even more convinced that it’s a case of when, not if, it’s going to happen.
Well, perhaps third time’s the charm?
Reports Claim There Is No Romantic Reunion for Bennifer
After their reunion at the premiere of Lopez’s upcoming movie, the ex-couple fueled rumors of a rekindled romance, but it looks like their relationship is purely professional/platonic, at least for now.
A source told PEOPLE that a romantic reunion is not in the cards for Lopez and Affleck: “Jennifer’s doing well. She’s focused on things that make her happy – family and work…She’s always enjoyed working with Ben, this hasn’t changed. There’s no romantic reunion with Ben.“
They added, “They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other. They’re both proud of what they accomplished together.”
So, if Affleck and Lopez aren’t trying to work things out, why was he at the premiere, you ask? Well, the Batman actor hopped on the project as executive producer along with Matt Damon under their Artists Equity banner.
Speaking of his contribution to her movie, Lopez once said, “The movie wouldn’t have been made if it wasn’t for him and Artists Equity. I will always give him that credit…they financed it…I told him, ‘This was the role I was born to play’…and he was like, ‘Okay’, and he helped make it happen.“

It looks like Lopez and Affleck are always going to be a part of each other’s lives, in one way or another. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean everyone would be completely okay with it.
Recently, reports have come out stating that Affleck is currently in a tug-of-war between his ex-wives, Lopez and Jennifer Garner. While Lopez and Affleck are on decent terms, he and Garner have always been close.
Apparently, Lopez is planning to tag along for a tropical vacation with Affleck and his three children, while also including her own twins. Now this is where Garner is reportedly drawing the line.
A source told National Enquirer, “Ben had the exact same issue last year, but wound up finding a solution by splitting his time in L.A. between J.Lo and Jen.” The source added that Affleck is trying to do the same this year, but Lopez has other plans in mind.
That’s what he’s suggested this year, but J.Lo’s got her heart set on them doing something special as an extended family. She’s offered to fly Ben and the kids somewhere tropical, so they can enjoy some R&R in the sunshine, let the kids properly catch up and put an end to any lingering awkwardness between her and Ben.
The kids are apparently on board with the idea as they “love hanging out with their old step-siblings.” As for Garner, who is currently dating John Miller, she has her reservations about “giving J.Lo her blessing to take the kids away.” As per the source, Garner wants Affleck to come up with a different solution.
