Is Hollywood’s iconic duo going through a rough patch? No, not really. Starring in November’s hot legal drama All’s Fair, Sarah Paulson had a pretty candid opinion on her longtime bestie, Pedro Pascal.
During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen After Show, Paulson and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Bronwyn Newport were answering fan questions when someone asked the former, “What is the one thing about your best friendship with Pedro Pascal that his fans would be surprised to know?“
Without missing a beat, Paulson replied, “He’s a b*tch baby“. We get what her comments may look like out of context, but she quickly clarified that she was only joking, “No, I’m kidding.”
She went on to add that the 50-year-old Chilean-American has a lot of demands, but at the end of the day, they share a brother-sister type bond that’s irreplaceable. Paulson said,
He, you know, has a lot of demands is what I feel. A lot of demands, which he would argue are my demands, and I argue they’re his. We’re like, we’re brother and sister.
When asked who pays for dinner, Paulson replied, “He pays for dinner now.” So, there you have it. There is no feud between the best friends/honorary siblings.
Sarah Paulson Has Only Good Things to Say About Pedro Pascal
Everyone knows that Pascal has reached unimaginable heights of success in his career, and we would say he deserves every bit of it! From The Last of Us to The Fantastic Four, the actor is dominating every franchise you could think of, and we are here for it.
When Andy Cohen asked Paulson if she ever thought Pascal would reach such “superstardom in his future“, the actress couldn’t help but gush on about the man she calls her best friend.
Calling Pascal the “most talented person” she knows, she stated,
This level is hard to imagine, I think, for anyone…but I always knew he was the most talented person I knew. And I knew that if anything was right in the world, that his working life would become this. So, it’s not surprising to me from a talent level, but anytime someone has a…that doesn’t really happen that much anymore, where someone like bursts on the scene and has a thing.
Paulson also revealed another thing people might not know about Pascal – that he’s a “real cinephile“. She stated that he knows more about movies than the Letterboxd she goes to. The actress added, “He drags me to all the scariest movies that I don’t want to see.”
Pedro Pascal and Sarah Paulson’s Friendship Timeline
As per Pop Sugar, Pascal and Paulson’s friendship began in the early 1990s while they were still only teenagers. They were striving actors in New York when they crossed paths for the first time.

During a conversation with Interview Magazine in 2014, Pascal told Paulson, “I was really lucky because my first friend at NYU lived in Brooklyn, Kristen, and went to high school with you, so your guys’ posse kind of adopted me.”
He recalled going to watch Fearless with Paulson and six other people, all of whom ended up “sobbing by the end of it.” They decided to hit the park later and had their first celebrity sighting – Woody Harrelson. Fanning over the Zombieland star became their “first step towards bonding.”
Every great friendship goes through a period where the people involved grow apart. For these two, this happened in the late 1990s. They went through “a period of estrangement…where we didn’t talk as much.” However, Paulson was quick to clarify that the fighting was never a reason why. Pascal claimed that it happened when the actress moved to Los Angeles for her career.
Years later, Pascal followed Paulson’s footsteps, and he was soon in LA, where they finally reconnected. Eventually, their hard work and sacrifices worked. The two actors were on everyone’s mind. Paulson was doing American Horror Story while Pascal was in Law & Order. Over the years, they have made many red carpet appearances together:

Through their friendship, they have both been there for each other, celebrating each other’s victories as their own. In April 2019, Pascal made his Broadway debut by playing Edmund in King Lear, and you best believe Paulson was super proud:

On Paulson’s birthday in December 2020, Pascal posted an adorable video of her dancing to Prince on his Instagram, wishing her a happy birthday and calling her a “f*cking goddess.”
In 2023, they appeared on Saturday Night Live together during an episode Pascal hosted. This was the fourth time the actor was hosting the show, bringing along his best friend for the milestone.

Needless to say, Paulson and Pascal’s friendship is one of the few real ones we get to see today. There has never been any bad blood between the two, and we hope they keep it that way!
