Sylvester Stallone‘s wife, Jennifer Flavin, has a theory on why many Hollywood celebrity kids are identifying as transgender. She claimed that it was these celebrity parents projecting themselves onto their kids. During her appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast, host Miller asked her, “Why do you think it is that so many kids in Hollywood now and kids of, you know, celebrity parents are transgender?” (via Fox News).
She shared that Hollywood was “all about expression” and claimed that these celebrities encouraged their kids to express themselves. She shared, “If you feel like a cat today, you’re a cat. And it’s so loosey-goosey.” She further claimed:
I don’t think that we’re really understanding that these kids are not our accessories. They’re little human beings that need structure. And structure is really important for them because it helps their brain organize everything.
She shared that the lavish lifestyle in these homes was too much and really confusing for a little person. She shared, “And it’s OK what you decide to be as an adult. But raise them just with good common sense.”

She further shared the example of her own daughters, sharing that they were “tomboys” and preferred to wear pants rather than dresses. However, she shared, “But I never said, ‘Oh, you’re a boy now.’ I just said, ‘You love to play sports, you love to hang out with boys, that’s awesome.’”
Her comments are likely to offend some of the major Hollywood stars, whose kids have identified as transgender.

Jamie Lee Curtis’s daughter came out as trans publicly in 2021. A year before that, Ruby revealed this news to her parents. Curtis and her husband, Christopher Guest, have been nothing but supportive towards Ruby. However, it didn’t mean that she had no worries on her mind. Ruby shared in an interview with PEOPLE:
It was scary, just the sheer fact of telling them something about me they didn’t know. It was intimidating but I wasn’t worried. They had been so accepting of me my entire life.
Curtis told the outlet that she was just a “grateful student”, helping out her daughter through the journey. Curtis shared that while she was going to make mistakes in her daughter’s journey, she would try and avoid making big mistakes. She shared, “I am new at it. I am not someone who is pretending to know much about it.”
Charlize Theron publicly shared her support for her eldest child Jackson, who came out as trans. She told Daily Mail in 2019, “She looked at me when she was three years old and said: ‘I am not a boy! So there you go!’” She even asked the press to use the right pronouns for her (via Pride Source). She also has another daughter, August Theron.
Cher‘s son Chaz Bono documented his transition in the Emmy-nominated 2011 documentary, Becoming Chaz. He came out in 2009 and Cher later revealed that she struggled with Bono’s transition initially. However, she told TODAY, “Chaz is so happy, so unbelievably happy, and I don’t know what the people’s problems are.”
Celebrity couple Annette Bening and Warren Beatty’s eldest child, Stephen Ira, came out as a trans man in 2012. Beatty shared with Vanity Fair in 2016, “[Stephen is] a revolutionary, a genius, and my hero, as are all my children.” Bening called her son “incredibly brilliant” during an interview with THR. Colin Mochrie of Whose Line Is It Anyway? fame and his actress wife, Debra McGrath, are parents to trans daughter Kinley. Mochrie told ET Canada, “This is my child, the exact same person, with a new coat. All you want when you have a child is for them to be safe, to be happy, and to be better than you.”
The Breakfast Club star Ally Sheedy is also a parent to trans son Beckett Alexander. Sheedy told PEOPLE in 2022, “I feel very comfortable talking to anyone whose kid is just beginning the process of transition. Parents need to educate themselves.” She is involved with the LGBTQ+ advocacy group, PFLAG.

Sylvester Stallone’s wife and three daughters are now familiar to TV audiences after he filmed the reality show, The Family Stallone. Jennifer Flavin and their three daughters—Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet—accompanied Stallone on two seasons of the Paramount+ show.
Flavin was a former model, who began her career at the age of 19 with the Elite Modeling Agency. She appeared in reality shows like Good Day Live, American Gladiators, and The Contender. She appeared alongside her husband in a small role in Rocky V. She turned to business in recent years, co-owning the skincare product company, Serious Skin Care.
Flavin and Stallone’s relationship survived some serious challenges. He had an affair with model Janice Dickinson that broke off their relationship in 1994. However, they reconciled in 1995 and got married in 1997. In August 2022, Flavin filed for divorce from Stallone. However, they later announced that they had reconciled.
Flavin’s second daughter, Sistine, is a model like her mother and has also acted in a few films. Her modeling career began when she signed with IMG Models in 2016. She was named a “fresh face to watch” by Vogue. She was also noticed when she did the advent calendar photoshoot for Love magazine (via PEOPLE).
She made her acting debut in the 2019 film 47 Meters Down: Uncaged. In 2021, she played the role of Heather alongside Bruce Willis and Megan Fox in Midnight in the Switchgrass. His elder daughter with Flavin, Sophia, graduated from the University of Southern California in 2019. She hosts the Unwaxed podcast with Sistine. She also runs the digital book club, Favorite Book Club. She underwent heart surgery at 2 months old and in 2012 to correct a congenital malformation of a heart valve.
Their youngest daughter, Scarlet, graduated from high school in 2021. She made her New York Fashion Week debut in February 2024, walking the runway for Tommy Hilfiger. Stallone told Fashion Network at the event, “What can I tell you, I am a very proud father.”
He also had two sons with ex-wife Sasha Czack. His eldest son, Sage Stallone, appeared with his father in Rocky V. He studied filmmaking for a year at the North Carolina School of the Arts. He passed away on July 13, 2012, due to a heart disease. His second son, Seargeoh Stallone, was diagnosed with autism at the age of 3 and has been living away from public life.
