Just a year after snapping it up for $2.72 million, Michael Feinstein and Terrence Flannery are ready to bid farewell to their renovated West Hollywood Hills hideaway, which has now returned to the market with a $4.49 million asking price. The New York Post reports that the 1936-built residence has been fully brought up to date and comes complete with four bedrooms, four baths, and 3,623 square feet of reimagined space.
Feinstein and Flannery first purchased the hillside dwelling in 2024 for $2.72 million. In the year since, they have overseen extensive renovations, updating each of the home’s four bedrooms and four bathrooms while transforming the entire interior. The couple described the property as a home and a creative hub, using it for recording sessions and hosting a roster of notable visitors.
The two explained that while they appreciated its views and modernized character, they had decided to part ways in search of something larger. Set on 0.12 acres directly above Sunset Boulevard, the multistory home combines historic character with contemporary upgrades. Its façade is finished in white and beige, framed by lush greenery that shields the property from the surrounding hillside. A foyer lined with dark hardwood flooring leads into the main living areas, where high ceilings and a dark-mantled fireplace anchor the expansive great room.

The adjacent dining space accommodates a large table beneath modern overhead lighting, with a wide window introducing natural light throughout the day. The kitchen has been fully updated with marble countertops, a matching backsplash, and high-end appliances. It connects to informal spaces such as a breakfast area, offering functionality alongside design. The main bedroom continues the dark-wood theme seen throughout the house, with its own fireplace and a wide window that overlooks the city.
A spacious walk-in closet provides ample dressing space, while the en-suite bathroom features a double vanity and a soaking tub. Two additional bedrooms contrast with the darker palette of the main suite, styled in lighter tones and arranged in smaller footprints. Another guest bedroom retains a warm, comfortable atmosphere with more modest proportions. An on-site bar finished in black-and-white marble has been incorporated into the home, designed for entertaining visitors.

A separate office area carries its own character, with two orange chairs dressed in Hermes pillows, a fireplace, and a corner desk. The lower level features a fully equipped gym and laundry room, enhancing the home's overall functionality. Outdoor areas have been arranged for gathering, with several seating options and coffee tables placed throughout the terraces.
Feinstein and Flannery have used the home extensively during their ownership, entertaining guests and treating it as a residence and workspace. They noted that the house served as a green room for friends and colleagues while also functioning as a recording studio. With growing needs for space and more time spent in Westside neighborhoods tied to production and business projects, the couple is already exploring other options in Beverly Hills. The two are not new to real estate, as they also maintain residences in New York and Carmel, Indiana.

Michael Feinstein currently has a net worth of $50 million and first found his footing behind the keys in local bars, where he played piano before catching the attention of legendary lyricist Ira Gershwin in 1977, eventually becoming his archivist. From those roots, he blossomed into a five-time Grammy nominee and multi-platinum artist whose recordings celebrate the American musical tradition. He is also the founding force behind the Great American Songbook Foundation and the artistic director for Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana.
