Miley Cyrus, the Hannah Montana lead, just turned 33 on November 23, 2025, celebrating a successful career in music and stardom. In a rare interview with the New York Times, the Flowers singer took to answering five questions about her life, ranging from her accessories to her personal life.
When asked what mistake she still thinks about, the singer answered with a shrug:
…that I still think about is, like, 80 percent of my tattoos. I don’t regret them enough to laser them, but some of them, like – I mean, I love my cat, but like I didn’t need that. I love my dog, but, like, I don’t know, just have a pitbull in every picture for the rest of my life is kind of intense. There’s just a few I could do without.

Miley Cyrus Talks Fashion and Clears Misconceptions
The New York Times wasted no time in diving deep into the public persona the artist has come to be known for, particularly her “wild” side, asking her what people get wrong about her. Cyrus responded:
…get wrong about me is that I’m wild, because I am actually very neat and tidy.
The star drew sharp criticism in the 2010s when she turned from Disney pop princess to grinding on Robin Thicke on stage. The singer even spoke openly about her drug consumption habits online. When asked what the best age for her was, she replied:
I have no complaints about any of them, but present moment is awesome. Why? Because my hair is looking great today, and everyone in my life is fantastic.
The singer went on to talk about her first purchase when she made money, a perforated black leather Alaia belt, explaining how she still has it as an emotional attachment to Alaia. With regards to the best outfit she’s ever worn, Miley Cyrus said:
Oof. I’ve had some really good ones, but I really love my outfit from “Something Beautiful,” the album cover. It’s in “More to Lose.” It’s in my 1997 Thierry Mugler couture.
The singer concluded the interview with another dig at her tattoo, stating that everyone is trying to license it from her because of the Michael Jackson font.
What Is the Hannah Montana Star Up To Now?
Miley Cyrus remains at the top of her game, actively writing and recording new music in 2025. She is also part of the revival of the Hannah Montana series.
In 2024, Cyrus won two Grammy Awards for her song Flowers, record of the year, and best pop solo performance. Her latest album, Something Beautiful, was released earlier in 2025, and another album is on the way.
