‘Homeless’ Kevin Spacey Wants Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino to Save Him: “We are in touch”

By Steven Jackson 11/20/2025

Kevin Spacey has shed light on his financial state, revealing that he has been homeless and is currently living between hotels and Airbnb because of the rising costs in recent years. While Spacey was once regarded as one of the most acclaimed figures in showbiz, his career stalled after facing ostracization from Hollywood over s-xual harassment allegations.

Amid his continued resolution to break through the industry again, Spacey expressed that respected figures like Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino could help reopen Hollywood’s doors for him (via The Telegraph).

We are in touch with some extremely powerful people who want to put me back to work. And that will happen in its right time. But I will also say what I think the industry seems to be waiting for is to be given permission — by someone who is in some position of enormous respect and authority.

Although he has been part of some low-budget productions, including Peter Five Eight, The Contract, etc, his financial woes remain hard to ignore.

From $70M to Homelessness: Inside Kevin Spacey’s Financial Woes

While Spacey once boasted a whopping $70M net worth (via CNW), which isn’t surprising given his acclaimed filmography up to that point, the House of Cards star’s empire came crumbling down in the wake of the #MeToo movement.

Although allegations from Anthony Rapp, who alleged Spacey molested a 14-year-old Rapp back in the early ’80s, and nine other s-xual assault charges were acquitted, Hollywood hasn’t exactly been welcoming to the actor.

Last year, the Usual Suspects star revealed that his house in Baltimore, Maryland, was going into foreclosure due to the millions he owed in legal fees. And the current financial climate, coupled with his lack of major gigs, certainly doesn’t mitigate things for the actor.

I’m going where the work is. I literally have no home, that’s what I’m attempting to explain… The costs over these last seven years have been astronomical. I’ve had very little coming in and everything going out.

As for the prospect of his potential Hollywood comeback with help from major industry figures, it doesn’t seem too likely, at least in Tarantino and Scorsese’s case.

Will Industry Biggies Bite on Kevin Spacey’s Potential Comeback?

Spacey isn’t wrong that a collaboration with the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Scorsese would open the floodgates for him in Hollywood, given their stature in the movie business. But the possibility of them entertaining Spacey’s advances seems unlikely, especially at this stage of their career.

Tarantino has made it pretty clear he eyes to conclude his esteemed directorial run with his next movie. And if he were to cast Spacey, the blowback from this decision could severely undermine or even taint the reputation of his highly anticipated movie.

For similar reasons, it’s unlikely that Scorsese will ask Spacey to come on board. Even though the auteur has no intentions of walking away from directing, it doesn’t seem the respected filmmaker would risk his next major venture by platforming Spacey.

Then again, given the shifting climate, even if it’s not Tarantino or Scorsese, it won’t be surprising if another major figure ultimately opts to give Spacey his big break.
