When Ella Langley and Riley Green released their love song, You Look Like You Love Me, fans wondered if the two artists were simply collaborators or something more. Let’s find out.
The romance rumors rekindled a few months back, when Langley posted a series of photos on her Instagram, including one with Green. On July 26, the singer posted a New York City dump, but it was the third photo out of the lot that really caught people’s attention.

The image featured Green and Langley in the same frame, engaging in conversation. That was all it took for the two to spark hope in the hearts of fans who had been shipping them for a long, long time.
A user wrote, “he looks like he loves you!!” – an obvious ode to their duet. Another commented, “You knew what u were doing with the third pic…”
Unfortunately, one photo isn’t enough to confirm the status of their relationship. Moreover, Green himself shut down the rumors during his appearance on The Viall Files podcast in December 2024, where he stated,
Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway…And when we fist started having the success we did with that song, I kinda told Ella, I was like, ‘There’s gonna be a lot of things said, but I mean, you don’t really have to play into it or not play into it, its gonna be something people enjoy the same way we do when we go listen to those songs, so it’s cool to have that moment on stage with her every night.’
He even confirmed his relationship status as “single” earlier in March while appearing on the In the Blind podcast. His words were: “Single…Pretty damn [single].” Langley, whose song was featured in the soundtrack of Nobody Wants This Season 2, also shut down the rumors during an interview with Taste of Country, stating, “We’re not dating. We’re just good friends.“
What Caused a Rift Between Ella Langley and Riley Green?
Ella Langley isn’t the only singer Riley Green has been linked to in the past. The When She Comes Home Tonight singer’s name came up with Megan Morney after they paired up for a rendition of Don’t Mind If I Do in November 2024.

At the same time, Green shared some photos on Instagram while at a resort. It didn’t take long for Internet sleuths to point out that the resort resembled one in Saint Barthélemy. As per PEOPLE, Moroney had also shared a photo wearing one of Green’s hats, a few days earlier.
Now, the question is, was it Moroney and Green’s growing friendship that forced Langley to take a step back? According to Parade, it was during this time that fans began noticing a shift in her energy while she performed their song on stage. Her usual flirty body language towards Green turned into one of avoidance.
Riley Green Has His Sight Set on Another Singer
Neither Langley nor Moroney, Green’s heart has been captured by another famous musician, Norah Jones. In a recent interview with Taste of Country, the singer was asked about who he has been listening to lately, and without missing a beat, Green took the 46-year-old singer’s name.
He said, “Norah Jones“, before adding that her hit song, Don’t Know Why, “gets me every time.” Green continued, “I watch the videos of her singing that. She was sharp, man. Yeah, I got a crush.”
Unfortunately for him, Jones is off the market. She is happily married to Pete Remm, a multi-instrument musician and songwriter. The two began dating in 2012 when she was recording her breakup album, Little Broken Hearts. They tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together, a boy and a girl.
Despite his career in the music industry, Remm prefers to keep out of the spotlight. Jones once told Billboard that her husband “likes to stay mysterious.” Well, it looks like Green may have to pine from afar this time.
