Who Is Jamey Heath? Real Reason Blake Lively Tried to Access His N*de Wife’s Video Amid It Ends with Us Controversy

By Andrew Martin 11/19/2025

It Ends With Us producer Jamey Heath has been thrust into the harshest spotlight of his career after Blake Lively accused him of “disturbing” misconduct, naming him alongside director Justin Baldoni in her 2024 complaint (via PEOPLE). Heath, the CEO of Wayfarer Studios and Baldoni’s long-time collaborator, now stands at the center of a legal storm because of one explosive claim: that he played Lively a clip of his fully n*de wife giving birth on set “without warning or consent.”

According to court filings, Lively alleged that she was shown a video of “a fully n*de woman with her legs spread apart,” before Heath allegedly told her it was his wife’s home birth (per Daily Mail). She accused him of “knowingly and willfully withholding” the complete footage after only producing a three-minute excerpt. In her Nov. 3 letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman, she demanded sanctions, arguing that Heath “refused to produce any further video” despite a court order.

Heath denied sharing birth footage, claiming the only clip he showed was a tame post-birth moment of himself, his wife, and their newborn. Lively requested that the judge compel Heath to submit all versions of the video and even sought to prohibit him from testifying about the footage altogether. Now, commentator Kjersti Flaa recently suggested a deeper motive behind the actress’s pursuit, insisting:

The only reason I can come up with is because she wants to punish Jamie Heath by punishing his wife.

Flaa described the request as “disturbing” and “appalling,” arguing that demanding a woman’s intimate birth footage so attorneys can “go through it frame by frame” crosses a moral boundary.

Judge Issues Sensational Ruling in Blake Lively’s Fight Over ‘Sensitive’ Birth Video

A federal judge has now stepped directly into the fight. According to newly surfaced legal documents, Judge Lewis J. Liman ordered Jamey Heath to turn over the full birth footage within three days (per Daily Mail). Blake Lively’s motion argued that Jamey Heath had only provided a short excerpt, insisting it was not the same clip she remembered.

The order states that the only way to resolve the dispute is to produce every version. Lively’s account states that Heath approached her and her assistant and played a video showing “a fully n*de woman with her legs spread apart,” which she initially mistook for p*rnography. Judge Liman wrote:

Because the Court’s order encompassed more than the video Heath claims he showed Lively, the additional footage should have been produced.

Judge Liman concluded that sensitivity does not override discovery requirements. He described the footage as “extremely sensitive and deeply personal,” placing it under strict confidentiality orders so none of it reaches the public. But he affirmed that Lively is entitled to review it privately with her legal team.

Heath’s opposition was rejected. Lively’s motion was granted in part and denied in part, but the core victory stands: she will receive the full birth video set.

Who Is Jamey Heath? What to Know About the It Ends with Us Producer

Jamey Heath’s career began in music, where he wrote and produced for artists including Solange, Chaka Khan, Idina Menzel, and Andy Grammer. By 2021, he joined Justin Baldoni at Wayfarer Studios, eventually becoming the company president. Wayfarer produced several projects, including It Ends with Us, Will & Harper, and The Garfield Movie, operating under a mission to create media with social impact.

Heath is married to Natasha Heath and is a father of four. Lively’s complaint centers heavily on Natasha, claiming Heath showed Lively and her assistant a “fully n*de” birth video without consent and allegedly told her (per PEOPLE):

She isn’t weird about this stuff.

Heath also co-hosts the Man Enough podcast with Baldoni and journalist Liz Plank, where they discuss gender norms, consent, and emotional honesty. Plank stepped away from the show after Lively’s lawsuit, stating:

We all deserve better.

Baldoni and Heath’s friendship runs deep. In a public birthday tribute, Baldoni called him “one of the best friends I’ve ever had in my entire life” and credited him as “the reason It Ends with Us existed.” Yet Lively’s lawsuit paints a very different portrait. Baldoni’s lawyer denies Lively’s allegations and instead accuses her of causing chaos on set and damaging the film’s release.
