No comment from Lively’s rep as of yet, though Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024 for s*xual harassment and retaliation, citing improvised physical intimacy she says was never rehearsed, choreographed, or discussed.

Baldoni denied wrongdoing and countersued for $ 400 million, though the judge dismissed it. After a January 2024 meeting with Lively, Reynolds, and producers, Wayfarer agreed to hire an intimacy coordinator and ensured there would be “no more improvising of kissing.”

It Ends with Us Controversy: Is Colleen Hoover ‘Disappointed’ Amid Lively and Baldoni Rift

Justin Baldoni’s legal team had long insisted that only scripted kissing scenes occurred before the Hollywood strikes, yet they acknowledged the alleged unscripted scene was filmed on May 13, 2023. His since-dismissed complaint stated that Blake Lively’s claims about improvised intimacy were unfounded since

The only two kissing scenes filmed during the initial filming period were both scenes that included kisses as written in the script.

Then came the alleged texts from Colleen Hoover, filed Nov. 10, showing the author lamenting that she “felt forced to choose” between Lively and Baldoni (per PEOPLE). Hoover allegedly told Baldoni she was “disappointed” in his actions, adding that the ongoing back-and-forth stories from both sides were “upsetting” and “making everyone working on this movie look immature.”

She emphasized that she had felt friction long before interacting with Lively and asked him not to use his platform to “harm me or mine”. The text reads:

I appreciate that you haven’t directly said anything negative, that’s how it should be. But you are grown men with a platform. You know how to use it to protect your image. Please don’t continue to use it to harm me or mine. That’s all I’m asking

Hoover has since removed photos of Lively and Baldoni from Instagram after briefly deactivating her account amid the chaos.

Texts Reveal Justin Baldoni’s Reaction When ‘Angry Husband’ Ryan Reynolds Confronted Him

Newly surfaced messages show Justin Baldoni describing a January 2024 confrontation with Ryan Reynolds at the couple’s New York apartment as an “ambush” that left him “emotionally paralyzed” (per PEOPLE). In texts to Rainn Wilson, Baldoni wrote that Reynolds was “talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me.”

He claimed Reynolds read a list of allegations aloud, using words like “creepy” and “abuse”, and insisted Baldoni read a written apology he couldn’t bring himself to deliver. Baldoni said, “I was emotionally paralyzed, which is something I haven’t experienced in years,” and admitted he wanted to “run and blow this whole movie up.” He added that he felt he was taking “the wrath of an angry husband,” and even felt “abandoned by God” in the moment. According to him, Lively told producers the film was

We were told this was the worst experience of her life. And others have witnessed this behavior… the behavior on our set was creepy

Baldoni explained that the confrontation stemmed from his asking a trainer how much Lively weighed because of back problems and a lifting scene. His team later alleged the meeting was a “traumatic” berating. Reynolds’ side insisted he was stern, impassioned, but not aggressively hostile.

A judge dismissed both of Baldoni’s major lawsuits in June. Lively’s case heads to trial in March 2026. What do you think? Drop your thoughts below!
