Comedian Akaash Singh has been married to Jasleen Singh since July 2021. They both met in 2015 after her sister became a fan of his stand-up work and dragged her along to one of his shows. She shared on a TikTok video that she and Akaash hit it off after the show, with him offering his jacket to her in a classic rom-com fashion during the cold night.
Jasleen Singh hosts a podcast with Nehal Tenany called the Main Character Podcast, which recently became a subject of controversy. Jasleen has a major in Finance and Business Analytics from Drexel University, after which she interned at Goldman Sachs (via LinkedIn). This is the time when she met her future husband.
She juggled different jobs in this career, including Deloitte Consulting, before pursuing a master’s in business journalism from NYU. She briefly worked as a news reporter before she turned to her other ventures, including her podcast. In the recent episode of the Main Character Pod, Jasleen and Tenany discussed some wild topics, including threesomes, which drew backlash from fans.
Leading the criticism from the front was Fresh and Fit podcast co-host Myron Gaines, who had a beef to settle with her husband, Akaash Singh. He wrote in the comments under her video, “I hate being right all the time.” Here’s what happened.
Why Is Myron Gaines Going After Akaash Singh’s Wife, Jasleen Singh?

Myron Gaines is infamous for his often misogynistic and racist remarks on his podcast, Fresh and Fit. When Gaines and Walter Weekes appeared on the Flagrant 2 podcast in 2022, hosted by Andrew Schulz and Akaash Singh, the hosts called them out for their content. While explaining his beef with Asian Doll, Gaines brought up the fact that they don’t date Black women.
Singh and Schulz were quick to call them out for the remark, sharing that their content was “corny” and “childish”. Singh shared that Gaines and Weekes were supposed to be Black role models and not set a bad example. Schulz pointed out how Singh only pursued one brown woman and was married to her.
The Fresh and Fit podcasters only laughed during these comments and drew backlash from the audience for not being able to defend their own content. So, when Gaines came across Jasleen’s latest content, he saw it as his chance to one-up Singh.
Jasleen discussed some problematic content in her podcast, including being attracted to her co-host’s husband, group s*x, and her college s*xual experiences. Gaines took to X to berate Singh and his wife, commenting, “I’m never wrong about these women…”
I'm never wrong about these women…
Stupid ass jeet @AkaashSingh tried to lecture me about women years ago with his equally retarded co-host @andrewschulz aka AnJew Schulztein…
Here's this jeet's stupid ass wife making a mockery of him and herself on a podcast.…
Singh responded by posting the clip of their old interaction, adding, “My man out here getting triggered by jokes.” Gaines doubled down with more derogatory comments and a discussion of Jasleen’s alleged behavior during his podcast. He also posted an edited clip of Jasleen’s previous comments that went viral on X. However, Singh refrained from further responding to Gaines’s problematic comments.
Jasleen Singh Addressed The Controversy and Myron Gaines’s Comments

Jasleen Singh took to TikTok and Instagram to address the controversy, without directly mentioning the beef with Myron Gaines. She was furious that some fans were accepting the remarks made on her content by the “red pill podcast guys.” It wasn’t the only reference she made about Gaines, as she advised her critics not to listen to “cockroaches and parasites.”
Jasleen also brought up the fact that her husband was never judged for making jokes about her during his stand-up show. She shared that they always made “jokes at each other’s expense” and didn’t understand why many people on the internet were “mad” at her for her podcast comments.
She also brought up the story of the 2022 movie, Don’t Worry Darling, claiming that many people were behaving like brainwashed individuals on the internet. Interestingly, the banter between Singh and Jasleen is part of their content on their socials.
Recently, they made headlines when she bashed Singh for hosting Donald Trump on his podcast (via PEOPLE). They were discussing the plummeting stock market in April, when she jokingly called him out, “There goes our investment portfolio, you d*ck.” Singh insisted in the video that he didn’t vote for Trump.
