After a few controversial business moves, Kim Kardashian is facing backlash for her parenting skills, and it has everything to do with her daughter’s finger piercing.
Kardashian and Kanye West‘s 12-year-old daughter, North West, recently posted on TikTok showing off the new dermal piercings she has gotten on her fingers. For those who don’t know, dermal piercings are much more intense than the regular ones as they involve a surgical procedure.
In the single-point piercing, a small, flat-bottomed anchor is placed under the skin surgically. As per the snaps shared on social media, North has gotten not one, but two finger piercings.

Needless to say, the Internet is not happy with Kardashian and how she is parenting her pre-teen daughter.
The Internet Slams Kim Kardashian After North West’s Piercing
Kim Kardashian has faced criticism for one thing or another for as long as we can remember. However, her parenting style has become a hot topic of discussion lately, with netizens calling her out for not doing her part correctly.
Some even showed support for Kanye West for being “right” about the Kardashian sister all along. Others are criticizing her for being too soft while parenting North. On the other hand, many are simply worried about the young girl, as finger piercings are extremely dangerous and can easily get infected or worse.

This piercing is a horrible idea on anyone. It’s an even worse idea on a CHILD. She is a 12 year old. That piercing gets knocked and snagged on things often, even on responsible adults. I don’t think 12 year olds should have anything anywhere near body piercings. It’s ridiculous.
That is the worst place to get a piercing. The hands get the dirtiest out of any body part. Keeping it clean so she doesn't get an infection is going to be challenging for North. She could wear gloves 🥴 to keep it cleaner.

These piercings came after North shocked the Internet with her “new look”, complete with face tattoos, grills, and a septum ring. While, luckily, North was simply playing dress-up for a concert back then, the recent dermal piercings seem to be as real as it gets.
Is Kim Kardashian Supportive of North West’s Choices?
For those wondering whether Kim Kardashian is supportive of North West’s creative choices or not, well, it looks like the mother of four is completely on board. During her October 15 appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Kardashian got completely candid about her parenting style.
Talking to host Alex Cooper, Kardashian stated, “[North is] such a good girl and a such a sweet girl“, before adding that her daughter does listen to what she says.
However, when it comes to matters like expressing herself by experimenting with her looks, Kardashian is completely okay with letting North take the wheel and do what she thinks would be good for her.
The All’s Fair actress continued,
She does listen to me, but in other areas, I’m like, ‘Babe, if you want blue hair, it is what it is.’ You know, it makes her so happy. I would never take that creativity away from her. I just think anyone that’s raising kids, especially four kids by myself, I’m doing the best that I can.
