Howard Stern recently earned the wrath of the internet for hosting a cringeworthy contest for MTV back in the 2000s. He appeared as a judge and host of the Miss Buttaface Contest held in Las Vegas. The first contestant of the show, only known as Stacy from the video, went viral on social media as the Butter Face Girl recently.
The competition was to find the ‘ugliest’ woman with the best body, and the infamous show was held in front of a live audience. The girl in the viral video was brutally roasted by the judges. Fans were disturbed by the derogatory comments and have since been searching for the girl in the video.
Howard Stern was able to convince an entire venue of ugly people that this woman was ALSO ugly.
While a human thumb without a nose, Artie Lang, laughed at her.
Even Robin, who looks like a female Jay Z, had the nerve to pick her apart.

One of the speculations about her current whereabouts suggested that she had a tough life after her appearance on the show. A video from Instagram influencer @theashleylindley suggested that the girl was allegedly living in the streets (via Instagram).
She shared a video taken during the summer of 2025 of a homeless woman in Las Vegas and claimed that her facial recognition software identified her as the same girl. However, she also added in the video that she wasn’t 100 percent sure about her findings. She also stated that she wasn’t asserting that Howard Stern or the show was responsible for the girl’s alleged situation.

Interestingly, the original post was deleted from the user’s account. A fan claimed in the comments that the real girl from the Howard Stern video commented on the Insta user’s original post. According to the fan, the girl stated that her real name wasn’t Stacy and that she wasn’t the homeless woman.
However, none of this could be verified because the post is no longer available. Some fans on the internet speculated that she was model Stacy Sanches, a former Playboy Playmate (via @SchoppingHauer / X). However, there are no reports confirming this, with some fans even rejecting the idea completely after comparing both their appearances.
Why Did Fans Bash Howard Stern’s Butter Face Competition?

Fans slammed the judges and the audience of the Miss Buttaface Contest for their reactions upon seeing the woman’s face. Many viewers criticized everything from the premise of the show to the derogatory comments made by the judges.
Many found it disturbing that women were paraded around in just their bikinis and made to show off their bodies, while a paper bag was used to hide their faces initially. When they eventually take off the bags, the judges and audience show no hesitation in expressing their shock.
Stacy, who is now known as the Butterface girl on the internet, was visibly upset at the reactions of the judges. She had to endure all the cruel jokes and antics from the judges and the audience. When she was asked to remove the paper bag, the crowd began booing and shouting at her.
There were people in the crowd who pretended to vomit, while some others laughed hysterically. Other few could be seen putting their hands over their faces in disgust. However, the internet has now found her face to be naturally attractive, and she has become the face of the internet’s positive meme culture.
One fan shared that the Butterface girl was “beautiful” and “gorgeous.” They shared that she had great curly hair, pretty eyes, and no makeup on, which was beautiful by today’s standards. Another commenter shared that she was “out of the league” for everyone making fun of her face in the video.
A third fan called it a horrendous time, noting that the beauty standards were narrowly acceptable. One fan shared that there was “hurt in her eyes” when the crowd booed at her. Another fan called out Howard Stern’s shows at the time to be provocative and edgy. Some of the comments read:
Some fans even went on to comment that the judging panel didn’t deserve to judge the physical attractiveness of these women.
Howard Stern and Fellow Judges’ Demeaning Comments About Buttaface Girl

Howard Stern and the rest of the judges made objectifying comments about Stacy’s body before she lifted off the paper bag. Actor Rob Schneider went on to make the comment, “I gotta say, I know that she shaves her private region.” He also shared that he liked her a** tattoo, adding, “[It] gives you something to look at.”
Another judge, Robin Quivers, laughed when Ralph Cirella commented, “I want that body too.” One of the judges even made the request to have her remove her bikini top, which was turned down politely by Stern. It was something that would’ve got all of those judges cancelled in today’s world. Stern commented that she had the perfect a** and br**sts.
Judge Artie Lange laughed at her face when she removed the paper bag, while Quivers asked, “Is that a speedbump on your head?” Stern told Stacy, “It’s got to be hard when the crowd starts freaking out.” He asked her whether it bothered her, to which she said no. He then asked the judges to rate her from 1 to 10, with 10 being ‘worst face.’
Cirella commented that she looked like one of the elves from The Lord of the Rings. However, Stern was kinder than the other judges towards her face, sharing, “I think you’re pretty. I think your face is really nice.” A few other judges also pointed out that it wasn’t as bad as everyone made it out to be initially.
