IShowSpeed Is Not Meant to be a Streamer and His Latest Video Has Convinced Me

By George Martinez 11/08/2025

IShowSpeed is one of the most fan-favorite streamers of all time, but I’m convinced that he’s not meant to be one, as he would be much better suited to be an athlete, with his outstanding athletic abilities! And, before you argue with this, we even have proof: His latest video has convinced me that he should be an athlete.

In his latest clip (via @IShowSpeedHQ on X), Speed was seen pulling off yet another unbelievable stunt: He did backflips while holding weights in each of his hands, with the dumbbells ranging from 10 lbs to 70 lbs! Holding a dumbbell in each hand, he did eight backflips (two with the 70 lbs weights), gradually increasing 10 lbs with each new backflip.

In fact, at one point, when he tried to flip while holding 70 pounds in his hands for the first time, he almost fell down, twisting his ankle. But that didn’t stop him from trying once again, and the second time, he pulled it off like it was a piece of cake for him. Looking at that, who wouldn’t be convinced that Speed is much better suited as an athlete?!

Another IShowSpeed Stunt That Proved Heʼs Not Meant to Be a Streamer

While the backflipping stunt while holding weights in his hands is one thing, it isn’t the only stunt that proves that IShowSpeed holds a lot more potential than just being a streamer who pulls off random challenges that even many real-time athletes might find hard to beat. If anything, there have been tons of other similar instances – like the times he jumped over speeding cars.

In the clip he shared of himself doing the same, Speed called himself “the first person in the world” to be pulling off such a stunt as a sports car came to him at speed, and he actually jumped over it. While there was the possibility of his being hit by the car instead, that didn’t happen, and the streamer actually succeeded in jumping over the speeding car (see Instagram).

Then, in another video that followed, he was seen jumping over not one, but two cars – one was a Cristiano Ronaldo-themed Lamborghini Huracan, which was followed by a McLaren 720s. And yes, by the way, both the cars did speed toward him, one after the other, as he braced himself for the jump and came out victorious in his attempt without being injured (see Instagram).

These stunts were intended to demonstrate the star’s abilities in real-time, not as a result of video editing, and that’s pretty much all the proof that at least I need to be convinced about Speed’s abilities. Also, that’s not a try-at-home stunt, so fans must not try to pull it off – even the streamer got temporarily banned from YouTube for a safety violation for this stunt (via Complex).

Fans Are Convinced IShowSpeed Should Be Training for the Olympics

After looking at this latest dumbbell-backflip stunt from IShowSpeed, now even fans on the internet are more convinced than ever before about the streamer’s abilities. While some of them are now rallying for him to start training for the Olympics, others are sharing even more instances that justify why Speed should be an athlete.

All in all, taking to X, here’s what these fans have to say:

He is not meant to be a streamer https://t.co/xTIVGy1NBB

We already know this from that day.pic.twitter.com/ylZ7Ppzxt0

Almost defeated world's fastest manpic.twitter.com/xwg7Tvq1X2

Born to be a generational athlete forced to be an influencer

At this point, he’s a stuntman with WiFi pic.twitter.com/JvvIM8c104

Without internet this dude wins gold medals

I’ve seen enough, give him the Olympics

He dead ass need to compete in the Olympics and run the 100 meter hurdles

Well, while I am among the people rallying for IShowSpeed to become an athlete, I also can’t overlook the fact that what made him so famous in the first place is none other than streaming itself. So, in a way, Speed is pretty suited to be a streamer, too, since not all influencers manage to get this far in their careers, no matter their goals.

But now that he has established such a fair following for himself and shown off such unparalleled stunts, Speed might as well try his hand at the Olympics as well! Don’t you think so, too? Let us know in the comments section below!
