Ariana Grande recently had a near-miss with a car at the Wicked film premiere in Paris. The incident took place on Friday, November 7, when a car at the premiere moved a bit too close to the singer while she greeted fans outside the event.
Here’s what appears to have gone down: As seen in a clip shared by @BuzzingPop on X, the near-accident incident occurred as the Best Mistake singer was right outside the event, walking between the crowd. Just then, a car moved into the frame, which, while reversing, almost made contact with Grande before she quickly backed up.

While no injuries were reported from this specific incident, the Problem singer appeared visibly shaken before she was quickly guided away from the security and her team.

Ever since news broke that Ariana Grande almost got hit by a car, fans have been taking to X to share their reactions to the same. While some expressed concern at the situation and gratefulness at the singer’s being unharmed, others tried to make light of the incident with their joking comments.

Well, the good part is that the car wasn’t backing up at speed, so even if it ended up accidentally hitting her, she wouldn’t have been that injured. Then again, she did escape the accident, and we’re just glad about the same.
Earlier, Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Helped a Fan After a Messy Accident
Around a year before this incident, Wicked co-stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo also made headlines for another messy accident – though this time around, they weren’t the victims, but rather, the helpers.
This happened at the European premiere of their movie together. As a fan, @triciampisi on TikTok, shared, everything was going well at the event “until it came time to take a group picture.” During that, as everyone smiled for the camera, someone behind her held up a glass of champagne that toppled, spilling its contents all over her head before shattering on the floor.
The footage then showed the fan, whose name on TikTok is Tricia The Angel, screaming as champagne dripped down her face. But Erivo and Grande were quick to react. While the former searched for something to help clean Tricia up, the latter offered her comfort. As the fan continued to share,
I also have mascara and makeup on, and so all of a sudden, the alcohol mixed with the mascara is burning my eyes. As my eyes are closed and burning, I feel somebody hold me, and they’re like, ‘This is Cynthia Erivo, we’re gonna find you a chair now, okay? You’re going to be okay.’
Just like that, the two stars helped their fan out in her hard time as well, as Tricia later called it her “most embarrassing moment” that turned into “one of the kindest” thanks to Erivo and Grande. She even praised the Wicked co-stars for their quick and compassionate response, saying,
Both of them were so sweet and so kind and took the time to comfort me until I started to feel better.
Needless to say, this arguably makes all the hate against these two stars seem biased and unasked for. Then again, it also serves as the perfect justification of why both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have such a massive following of fans who absolutely adore them!
