Social media personality, businessman, and the very controversial Andrew Tate has taken over KSI‘s Misfits Boxing as its new CEO. More on this later, but Tate’s new title brings back old memories of a kickboxing match gone wrong.
In 2016, Tate fought against Ibrahim El Boustati at Enfusion Live 44. El Boustati ended up winning the match against the 90kg Enfusion champion, but what’s surprising is that Tate quit after the first round, and his opponent won by TKO.
Despite getting off to a good start, El Boustati was just too much for Tate. Credit where credit’s due, the older Tate brother did get his kicks in early and was making sure to give The Beast a good competition.
Unfortunately for Tate, El Boustati’s left hook connected with the left side of his head, making him signal discomfort. The referee had to pull the Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer. Tate then waved off the fight, resulting in El Boustati’s win.
Check out the complete fight below:
Now, as Tate takes over the mantle from KSI, real name Olajide Olatunji Jr, as Misfits’ new CEO, this fight has left fans wondering if the man is up for the job or not. For those who don’t know, Tate has had a remarkable kickboxing career. He has won 76 matches, lost 09, and only 01 resulted in a draw. 23 out of the 76 victories were knockouts (via RDX Sports).
Andrew Tate Talks About Taking Misfits From KSI

Mams Taylor announced Tate’s new position at Misfits through a YouTube video titled, The Dawn of a New Era. Talking about the rise of the brand and Olatunji’s contributions, he stated,
I won’t allow Misfits Boxing to go down. I had a board meeting earlier this morning and KSI, you are no longer the CEO of Misfits Boxing. You have been relinquished of your duties as CEO. We need a new CEO. A CEO who’s going to dedicate their life to this brand…Please welcome our new CEO…
The video then cuts to Tate smoking a cigar, stating, “Say hello to your new CEO. I wouldn’t say it was a hostile takeover, but it was certainly planned.” During his monologue, Tate took a jab at Olatunji for failing to make Misfits as big as it should have been.
Later, in an interview with Fred Talks Fighting, Tate casually commented that the former CEO “tweeted something that annoyed me three years ago, so long story short: I took his company from him.”
Olatunji launched the company in 2022 and has fought a total of five times under the promotion. Now, Tate is gearing up for his first fight since 2020 – The Fight Before Christmas. Tate will be going up against Misfits’ Heavyweight Champion, Chase DeMoor, on December 20 (via Misfits).
Tate last entered the ring in December 2020 against Cosmin Lingurar, a match he won by second-round TKO.
KSI Is Not Happy About Andrew Tate Replacing Him

Getting removed from the company he built brick by brick, only to have Tate replace him, must have felt like a dagger. Taking to X, Olatunji expressed his disapproval with the change of events, stating, “This year people are trying to test me fr…“
This year people are trying to test me fr. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK IS GOING ON? This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Let’s make ANDREW TATE THE CEO OF MISFITS?!? ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?!?
He then announced that he wouldn’t be going to the next Misfits’ event, and expressed hopes of Tate’s loss:
I ain’t going to the next misfits event. Hopefully Chase knocks Tate out 👍🏿
Meanwhile, fans are confirmed that this is all just a big ruse to draw more attention towards Misfits. No one seems to be taking the whole CEO mess seriously. A user replied to him, stating, “Nobody is falling for this wwe a*s storyline bruh“, while another asked, “Are you actually doing a ‘am clueless’ gimmick in 2025?”
Under the Misfits’ YouTube video, a fan predicted how exactly things would go down on December 20: “I can already see it. Andrew beats Chase. KSI makes a walkout wanting to reclaim CEO. They announce KSI vs Andrew Tate…“
