By Daniel Smith 11/02/2025

While people may now see actor Miles Teller shaping his career into becoming the next big thing in Hollywood, back during his sophomore year, he was a survivor of a horrific car accident that nearly ended his life in a tragedy.

In an interview on Popcorn With Peter Travers (via ABC), he revealed the terrifying details about this car crash, saying:

My buddy lost control of my car going 80 mph. We flipped eight times. I got ejected out the window. The car landed and I was just laying like 50 feet from the car, unconscious, covered in blood. My buddy thought I was dead.

He also revealed he still had visible scars from the accident, even after almost a decade since the incident happened, with gravel still lodged in parts of his body. Thankfully, the star survived and was recently seen on NBC’s Saturday Night Live promoting his next film, titled Eternity.

Miles Teller on Saturday Night Live: All the Details About the Latest Episode

In the most recent episode of the long-running series, which aired on November 1, 2025, the actor from Top Gun: Maverick fame was seen hosting the late-night show. He hosted the episode to promote his upcoming film and was joined by singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile, who served as a musical guest.

In the past, Teller was featured on the 48th Season of the show, where he participated in a sketch with long-time cast members and discussed the concept of a ‘Cool Pope.’ Along with that, he was also seen trolling Maroon V’s Adam Levine when some of his Instagram DMs were leaked in the past.

And now, with the premiere of the 51st Season of SNL, the star returned once again, this time, as a host. If you’d like to watch his latest performance for yourself, you can stream it on Peacock in the US and other regions where the service is available.

What Can We Expect From Miles Teller’s Upcoming Film Eternity

Following the success of Top Gun: Maverick, Teller has become one of the stars that Hollywood seems to be banking on, as his next major film, titled Eternity, will be released to the public after its initial premiere at TIFF. The movie features the star as Larry Cutler, alongside Elizabeth Olsen as his co-star, playing Joan.

It follows the story of both characters, alongside Callum Turner as Luke, who are all dead, and on their way to join the afterlife. But before being admitted to their happily ever after, Joan gets to choose her partner, whom she has to spend the rest of eternity with. The problem here is that she cannot seem to make up her mind between Larry and Luke.

Thus, this dilemma leads the three of them down a rabbit hole of comedic moments, personal problems, and eventually, a decision that’ll establish their afterlife for all eternity.
