Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 had an epic showdown, with a more than just an indulgent storyline. While the fight scenes are always amazingly portrayed in the crime thriller, episode 10, Comeuppance, got it even strategically covered. It was revealed at the end of Season 3, episode 9, that Milo, although seen dead, the act was just one of his trickeries.
The episode before the finale showed how Milo faked his death and planned his comeback, with plans to nab Konstantin’s identity. The finale’s focal point was Milo, which concluded, setting up a Season 4 of the highly appreciated series of all time.
Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 Episodes & Recap

In Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 finale, Mike McLusky’s plan–played astoundingly by Jeremy Renner–to get rid of not only Kingstown of Konstantin’s men but also Bunny’s military-grade weapons was interrupted by Milo, who woke up from the dead. Milo was even seen forcing Iris to look after Konstantin. This had put Mike in a difficult position, as Iris had already killed Konstantin. Milo is portrayed by Aidan Gillen, best known for his stint in Game of Thrones, while Konstantin is played by Yorick van Wageningen.
This situation turns worse when Bunny’s men shoot at Konstantin’s gang. This shotout creates a ruckus, involving citizens and attracting the eyes of SWAT. Meanwhile, the episode even revealed who was behind the huge bus accident of Season 3. Not so surprisingly, it was Milo who even admitted he “needed an accelerant,” a reason for bombing Mariam’s funeral.
What made the finale intriguing was Milo’s words, who mentioned that he was not only planning to kill Konstantin, but also aimed to re-establish a “cross-border pipeline.” This was odd as Milo faking his own death had helped him escape Konstantin, and the bosses as well. For the “fathers” it meant that Milo had flunked his mission, for which he will not be forgiven, meaning he is destined to die.
In another scene, the father on the bridge, who did not drop his gun, became a problem for Kyle, even though he misjudged the father’s actions as non-lethal. As Robert approached the father’s car, Kyle witnessed a cold-blooded execution of a father, who was trying to surrender, at the hands of Robert. The sequence becomes even tougher for Kyle, as he learns about Tracy asking Mike for protection. This sense of realization forces Kyle to take action, following which he shoots at Robert.
However, as Kyle, who is returning for Season 4, pushes the trigger, he is surrounded by several witnesses, including coworkers. Coming to Iris, she always proved her worth by helping Mike spy on Konstantin. However, now that Konstantin is dead, Milo is ready to let her go. Her story concluded very smoothly. However, with the brutal experiences she had during her time in Kingstown, it is certain that the region will stay within her memories always.
Meanwhile, the relationship between Kareem and Mike saw severe uncertainty as Kareem had become directionless throughout Season 3. He had even stopped fighting over Mike’s decision and simply went in the direction that Mike pointed. This attitude had developed within Kareem after the prison riots, which haunted his family. Not only that, but he was also disturbed after the attacks at Anchor Bay. Following all of this mounting pressure, Kareem was convinced of not being in control of anything.
The sad ending of Kareem left a huge impact on everyone. He was shown to enter a prison yard willingly, where AB prisoners are being held. Following this, he was stabbed to death. Amongst his loved ones, Kareem left a strong message for Kevin. The late officer reminded Kevin of how nobody besides him would have covered for Kevin, also pointing towards his inner thoughts about how Anchor Bay should have supported Kareem and not pushed him away.
Mayor of Kingstown Ending Explained: Did Milo Die in Mayor of Kingstown Season 3?

It was obvious that Renners Mike McLusky never assumed himself as a good person in Kingstown. Even when he took over the role of mayor, it was seen as a repercussion by McLusky. However, he was reminded by not one but two people in the show of a good character that lies within himself.
However, that was still not enough to convince him; after all, he had shot the Petyr “Littlefinger” Baelish actor‘s character, Milo in cold blood. This puts him in a situation where he questions himself even more, running around in confusion, whether he is capable of carrying a good being within his evil soul.
What to Expect From Mayor of Kingstown Season 4?

With a lot to take in, Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 finale proved to be one of the most devastating yet. However, it has even left several routes open for a perfect Season 4 storyline. First of all, it’s Kyle, who is stuck in an extreme situation after aiming at Robert. The action he took on the bridge has put him on grave grounds, even if Robert survives those bullet shots.
Coming to Kareem’s death, it was not only tough on the audience but also on Kevin. Now that the character has had a strong hit, there are high chances that we will see a great character arc of Kevin in Season 4 of Mayor of Kingstown. Season 4 of the Paramount+ series might even show Kevin believing in Kareem’s prison plan.
Finally, McLusky’s confusion would give the audience a creative take on the character. Whether he will accept the fact that he is not a good person and live with it or listen to the advice that others have given him about how he is not evil, only time will tell. Meanwhile, it is to be noted that Mike has made an even bigger enemy as he overlooked Callahan while he was dealing with the Russians.
Callahan is now aware of how Mike was never on his side and had even sent Raphael to the hospital to kill him.
For now, it is certain that the storylines of Milo, Konstantin, Iris, as well as Kareem have been concluded. However, a lot still remains to be explained on Robert’s end. Although Robert has been sent to the hospital after Kyle shot at him, he is still being investigated by Evelyn.
