Kim and Kourtney Kardashian’s long-standing tension is once again in the spotlight in The Kardashians Season 7. The season 7 premiere features Kourtney revealing that she’s collaborating with Julia Fox, Kanye West’s ex, for her Lemme ad campaign.
In a confessional, she explained,
I think the concept of Julia Fox with Lemme is really, really cute. It’s never worth doing something for the sake of a viral moment or sales if it would offend or hurt someone in my family, so I wanted to make sure Kim was okay with it.
While her comment seems considerate, the situation is complicated by Fox’s history with Kanye West. The campaign was launched in May 2025 to promote Lemme’s new s*xual wellness gummies in an advertisement featuring Kourtney Kardashian alongside the Uncut Gems star.
Kim Kardashian Reacts to Kourtney Kardashian Working With Julia Fox
When Kourtney Kardashian reached out to Kim Kardashian to ask if she was comfortable with her working with Julia Fox, who dated her ex-husband, Kanye West, following their separation, the SKIMS founder had a surprisingly chill reaction.
Kim Kardashian quickly brushed off any potential drama, responding, “Stop… I don’t care.” She added, “It doesn’t matter to me. Ok, bye. Have fun.”
Kourtney later reflected that she wouldn’t have minded if the situation were reversed, saying, “I just don’t have the energy to care or focus on those types of things.” She added, “But I feel like Kim’s in a totally different place and didn’t care.”
However, Khloé Kardashian wasn’t so sure. “If the shoe was on the other foot, it would be… another war,” she added candidly (Page Six), leaving fans to speculate on the lingering tensions.
Reflecting on Kanye West and Julia Fox’s Brief Romance
Kanye West and Julia Fox’s whirlwind romance captivated pop culture fans from the moment it began. The rapper and the actress met in Miami on New Year’s Eve 2021, instantly sparking headlines.
But just six weeks later, by Valentine’s Day 2022, the relationship had fizzled out. At the time, a rep for Fox told PEOPLE, “Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together.”
Later in a candid interview with ES Magazine in September 2022, the Presence actress revealed that West’s personal struggles made the relationship unsustainable. She shared,
It just seems like he had a lot to work on, and I just don’t have time for it, or energy. I don’t have the bandwidth or emotional capacity for it. I’m proud of myself for that.
The actress later expressed deep regret about her brief relationship with Kanye West. “I hate it! It was only a few weeks but enough to last me a lifetime. … I was in probably the most uncomfortable position in my life and that’s saying a lot,” she told Sunday Times in a October 2024 interview.
However, Fox has spoken warmly about Kim Kardashian, telling Vanity Fair in 2023, “I actually really love her.” Despite their shared history with West, Fox insists there’s no bad blood as she revealed that she has long been a devoted fan of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
